A friend suggested we went here for cocktails, for a significant birthday. We were hoping to spend the evening there, with several friends joining us, starting with two of us, for a happy hour. Sadly, we missed this by under 5 minutes, we asked could the waiter honour the deal, as it was a special birthday, and we were only... More

Stopped for 2 nights Aug B/H and it is a fun fab place to stay, full of quirkyness. There can be a bit of noise and i can imagine it being quite hectic during the horseracing period. Staff are young smart polite and courtious and nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are great fun and not for a shy... More

What an amazing hotel, so unique with the most incredible staff. I recently attended a wedding here and the whole experience was exceptional. I was the brides maid of honour and unfortunatley broke part of the heel of my shoe, within minutes the manager had sent a member of staff to shop for some super clue!!! We stayed in the... More

Chester is swamped by stuffy and dated hotels - delivering the same old, Oddfellows is a distinctly unique yet cool and sophisticated boutique hotel that delivers contemporary style with high quality service.

Booking was easy via the lovely receptionist Hannah - got a free upgrade too! Parking arrangements were easy enough at Pepper St NCP. Hotel looks plain from the outside but what a visual treat when you climb the stairs - stunning, unique decor! Stayed in Newbrook with its round bed which in all honesty is not that comfy as you... I thought this hotel was beautiful and it was in a great location. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The bar was lovely and the cocktails fab and even on a Sunday evening it was busy and had a great atmosphere. The room was nice but not as swank as the price suggests. We had the bedroom with a round... More

Only there for one night, Wedding Anniversary, but what a little gem of a Boutique Hotel. Very easy to find, 2 minutes walk from the car park (reduced rates) and approx. 5 minutes walk to the middle of the Grosvenor Shopping Centre. We were fortunate to book the Douglas Suite, which has the bed and stand alone bath on a... More

Now, I had very high expectations for this hotel, reading the reviews on here and hearing talk around Chester...but when I actually experienced it first hand, I was a little bit let down. Now, don't get me wrong, the decor is amazing and quirky! But, the service could be a hell of a lot better. When I walked in, I... More

Stayed here at the start of July for two nights to celebrate a 40th birthday. I must admit that I was a bit hesitant when booking as there were much cheaper hotels around, however bit the bullet and booked as we wanted to stay in the same hotel as our friends, this was absolutely the best decision I made! From... More

Small but really nice hotel. There are only 4 rooms above the restaurant and event space in essentially the attic of this building. Our room was a little cramped with the low ceilings and the shower and sink drained really slowly. All that considered we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the decor of... More
