This hotel is up a long steep flight of stairs. On asking a member of staff immediately helped us with our bags. They also carried them to our room. This was in a new build block across a garden. However. Despite being new build our room was up another 4 flights of stairs (2nd floor) with no lift. The room... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary. We wanted somewhere that would be special and memorable that had a upmarket feel, and we wasn't disappointed with our choice. Oddfellows is quirky and it goes right through from the reception, to the bar, restaurant, garden and the rooms! I loved the decor and would definitely return whether that be... More

Stayed midweek for a birthday treat. Awesome. Loved the quirky decor. We loved our room, especially the double shower. We stayed in the Calvary Attic and I'd request the same room in the future. Booked via Mr and Mrs Smith and got a great deal which included 2 free drinks at the bar. Can't wait to stay again.

I haven't stayed here but it's my go to place whenever I'm in Chester. Have sampled the afternoon tea and it was delicious. On other occasions we have enjoyed luncheon which was excellent. There is an extensive cocktail menu and the measures are generous however my favourite cocktail,,the Aviation isn't on there which was disappointing. The dinner s are inspiring... More

We went there last Saturday around lunchtime. The waiting for drinks became such an issue we left. The staff didn't appear to know what they were doing behind the bar.... And no one appeared to take charge or help out when there were very obvious queues at the bar. I had a burger and chips which was 'OK' but nothing... More

If your looking for a unique, relaxing hotel then this is the one. If your looking for a great break then Chester city is outside the front door. This is my 3rd visit to Oddfellows and it won't be my last. As a Hotel Manager myself, I am in admiration of their service excellence.

I have visited the Oddfellow's several times in past 12 months when in Chester with Margaret. Its a really interesting and funky venue. The interior Bar its a great place for cocktails and bistro style food and links very easily to a covered outside area. Food wise the white onion soup was particularly memorable. Well worth a visit if in... More

We stayed in apartment 4 for a short break in Chester. It was great to find a 2 bedroom unit, each with it's own en suite, and with free parking right by the apartment. It was very well equipped and came with tea, coffee (a nespresso machine) even fresh milk in the american style ice making fridge. It was a... More

I didn't stay but a family friend got married here, it's an awesome place! Very quirky and the food in the evening was excellent. It was all decorated for Christmas too which a huge tree in the middle of the stairs which was awesome! Didn't think the drinks were too expensive either! I'd even just recommend a visit for a... Stayed for one night in December and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the duplex room incredible. Didn't eat in the restaurant but enjoyed a few cocktails - they take a while to come even though it was quiet but I suppose it takes time to prepare such intricate drinks and it was well worth it...
