2 night stay over easter weekend. The location is not in the best part of town but only 10 mins walk from the centre which is good. The hotel itsself is very basic - not for anyone looking for a luxury break but great for stag and hen nights as we found out when one drunken reveller found he'd lost... More

Just back from a 3 night stay in Chester. Great location. About 10 minutes walk from city centre. Nice clean rooms. Bathroom very small but fine. A great breakfast every morning. Jo who worked on reception was a fantastic friendly lady. Felt like she was a family member. Couldn't do enough for you. For a budget hotel this is a... More

Went away for a few days as a mini-break with my girlfriend. Booked this place and started to worry when we saw the other reviews, honestly I've got no idea what they were on about. The room was fine, cleaned to a decent standard. Bathroom was small but you don't go on holiday for a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was good... More

I booked this hotel before I had read the bad reviews but I am very glad I did not let them sway my choice. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived, the reception area was modern and welcoming, the staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was lovely. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed.... More

We booked a room for a family of four for two nights at relatively short notice (booked on the Friday, two days before our visit) and the lady on the phone was very friendly. The location of the hotel is very good, just a couple of minutes walk from the railway station and about 10 minutes walk (if that) from... More

My husband and I had booked this hotel as it looked lovely on the pictures and were with our 4yr old daughter and 5month old baby. The cleanliness and state of the room was that bad we walked out and found alternative accomodation even though we were still charged. The lady showing us to our rooms walked in two different... The rooms where filthy, damp the bathroom facility's were taken straight from a 1970's caravan. Bed linen stains. but worst of all there were bare wires to the side of the tv Witch was next to my four year olds bed. The managers response was that we should have read previous reviews before booking .Needless to say we checked out... More

Stayed at this "hotel " in April and it's safe to say that the photos on booking.com make it look a lot better than it really is! This is no way a three star hotel more like one star. It looks shabby, the rooms defiantly need a lick of paint. The room was quite big but the bedding was flannel... More

I was apprehensive about our booking at this hotel after reading previous reviews, and as my card had been charged before we arrived I was unable to cancel the booking, I should have used Booking.com... However it proved to be fine, it is not 3 star, more like 1star, that being said the Lady who is running the hotel whilst... More

I booked into this hotel after looking at the photos and price, also as it was close to the train station. Myself and daughter (who was attending a university audition) worried needlessly after reading other reviews. On arrival we were shown to a CLEAN room, with plenty of tea and coffee etc. There was also lots of little soaps and... More
