Recently just came here for a meal, not to stay. As they now have a new chef it was worth a visit as the food has always been good. I had the steak which was a good Size, plenty of chips, a good sauce and it was cooked perfectly, no problems with the main at all. Same for the sticky... More

A friendly happy hotel with great food at very reasonable prices, the views from the top terrace out to sea are a great place for a relaxed lunch. Steve and the staff have provided some really good lunch's and evening meals over the years. Rooms are bright and clean as is the rest of the hotel, try and get a... More

The Harbour Lights Hotel doesn't advertise itself as 'scent free', but on our three day visit in September we found it seemed to use very 'neutral' laundry soaps and similar products. I react with swollen, streaming eyes to many scents and at the Harbour Lights I had no problems at all. We had a very pleasant 'terrace-view' room with a... More

Hotel Excellent. Steve & Staff very helpful and friendly. Food good, perhaps a little slow. Rooms clean and comfortable. Even Bikes for Hire. A Set Menu of 3 Courses for £16 would be nice. Will stay there again on next Visit to Alderney.

Our holiday had a mixture of weather but whatever happened outside, the staff made up for the variations. Excellent service, friendly and obliging staff who made us totally at home. First rate Restaurant and Bistro and chefs who did'nt know what a "small portion" meant! The food was delicious, well presented and always piping hot. Our room was clean, cosy and... More

We've stayed at The Harbour Lights before and look forward to staying there again. We were made most welcome by Steven and his staff, not to mention the locals! Nice room overlooking the sea, generous portions of excellent food and the opportunity to hire bikes at the hotel to burn those extra calories off!

We took 2 double rooms at the hotel for 3 nights from 2nd September and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a great location being 3 or 4 minutes walk from Braye Beach and a 10 minute (uphill) walk to St Anne. Our rooms were very comfortable, both with sea view and we found them clean and all facilities... More

We are both so glad that we decided to give ourselves a treat this weekend and stay at The Harbour Lights Hotel in Alderney. We have been to the island many times before but normally cater for ourselves! The service was both prompt and friendly, the room very cozy and clean and the food in the restaurant delicious. Our compliments... More

First - Alderney is a unique gem and well worth a 5/7 day visit although you'll do a lot of walking! If you want to get away from it all and experience a wonderful small island with a fascinating history, then check out Alderney. Second - Aurigny is a fabulous small airline, very friendly and helpful. The Trislander flight from... More

If as a guest you consider something is not right please tell us about it and we will quickly and happily resolve it. The "rock hard" mattress was a £600 Dunlopillo Latex mattress, one of the best mattresses on the market today and known for its enduring comfort, anti allergen and support properties - we have never had a similar... I would like to make it quite clear that none of our suites have a private terrace though the view from the bedroom can be of a private terrace, the hotel terrace or the sea. Our website details the view from each suite. I think on this occassion the guest misread our website to my cost! In terms of noise,... More
