The Lamb is well located within Ely with some car parking available. Walking into the hotel from the car park located at the rear of the premises is a narrow reception area and desk. Very friendly gentleman on reception allocated me what I believe was a superior room on the first floor which overlooked a fairly busy Main Street. Walking... More

Stayed one night and was very disappointed with the standard of the hotel. Downstairs the hotel appears clean and welcoming but the story upstairs is very different. The paintwork is dirty and flaking and the light switches and the surrounding paintwork filthy - these are things which could easily be rectified with a little attention to detail. Our room was... We had a great one night stay at the Lamb. Had a warm welcome from the receptionist and stayed in one of the refurbished rooms with a comfy king size bed and giant walk in shower. As usual an excellent Old English breakfast. the only down side is the small car park

We didn't stay at The Lamb but walked in and had breakfast. Surprising good value for a full breakfast at a hotel. Can certainly recommend dropping in to start your day. Very friendly staff. Good choices and comfortable ambiance.

I had heard good things about Olde English Inns and The Lamb however the standard in the room was very disappointing. The Bar area was very nice as was reception however the room was standard with only 1 coffee sachet just being the start of the issues. The bathroom was a little grubby, the carpet was stained and had not... More

We spent a couple of nights B&B at the Lamb during half-term week at the end of October. The hotel is situated very close to the cathedral and free parking is available throughout the city. The rooms were fine. We had both evening meals at the hotel and they were excellent both in quality and value. The service by all... More

The Lamb Hotel is a large old building on the ring road not far from the Cathedral. To get to the courtyard where you can park you have to go round the houses a little since most of the streets are one way. I had no trouble parking but I imagine this could get a bit tricky when the hotel... More

Checked in early as we were going to a wedding. We were given what the receptionist described as a very good room but could not see it as it was not ready yet. Left our bags at reception which would be put in the room. Returned to the hotel after 1am.No bags in the room. The room was not good... More

The Lamb is an old coaching inn and therefore has its quirks compared to modern buildings. Without destroying the original character I believe a good job has been done keeping up with modern needs. Our room was on the top floor of the main building and was roomy with tea and coffee facilities and good sized flat screen TV with... More

I stayed at the Lamb while attending a function at my Old School. The hotel has improved and raised it's game since I last stayed 2 years ago. I think you are disadvantaged if you take a single room as many of them face the front of the Hotel and with that comes the noise of heavy traffic for most... More
