My friends and I (all ladies) decided to spend our annual Christmas get together in Ely staying at the Lamb Hotel. Getting to the hotel from the Midlands and Suffolk was easy and convenient. We were allocated room 33 off the car park. This room along with the other four or five rooms in this area were previously part of... More

Just stayed for our first time at The Lamb Hotel. Had a warm welcome from reception staff, couldn't have been more helpful. We stayed in one of the annex rooms (34) near the car park. Very nice room, extremely comfortable bed. We had a meal in the restaurant, I had chicken fajitas, so much of it my husband had to... More

I used to live close to Ely and always felt the The Lamb reflected Ely's character of old, quiet, but distinguished. It was one of those places I promised myself I would stay in the future if ever I visited the city as an outsider; these days I live in Japan but having family around Ely I visit there once... More

The first impressions of the hotel were favourable. A comfortable dining area were we were to meet friends. The menu for "older people" looked a good prospect at the very reasonable price for two courses. The cheese omelettes ordered by the ladies were burned black underneath and the the jacket potatoes microwaved into oblivion. My roast beef dinner was a... More

The Lamb is well located within Ely with some car parking available. Walking into the hotel from the car park located at the rear of the premises is a narrow reception area and desk. Very friendly gentleman on reception allocated me what I believe was a superior room on the first floor which overlooked a fairly busy Main Street. Walking... More

Stayed one night and was very disappointed with the standard of the hotel. Downstairs the hotel appears clean and welcoming but the story upstairs is very different. The paintwork is dirty and flaking and the light switches and the surrounding paintwork filthy - these are things which could easily be rectified with a little attention to detail. Our room was... We had a great one night stay at the Lamb. Had a warm welcome from the receptionist and stayed in one of the refurbished rooms with a comfy king size bed and giant walk in shower. As usual an excellent Old English breakfast. the only down side is the small car park

We didn't stay at The Lamb but walked in and had breakfast. Surprising good value for a full breakfast at a hotel. Can certainly recommend dropping in to start your day. Very friendly staff. Good choices and comfortable ambiance.

I had heard good things about Olde English Inns and The Lamb however the standard in the room was very disappointing. The Bar area was very nice as was reception however the room was standard with only 1 coffee sachet just being the start of the issues. The bathroom was a little grubby, the carpet was stained and had not... More

We spent a couple of nights B&B at the Lamb during half-term week at the end of October. The hotel is situated very close to the cathedral and free parking is available throughout the city. The rooms were fine. We had both evening meals at the hotel and they were excellent both in quality and value. The service by all... More
