We were here for two nights for a birthday party in town. The location is great, within easy walking distance to centre of town. The room is just fine, it is actually slightly bigger than what we had expected. Our room was facing street but it was not noisy at all. The service was quite good, especially during tea time,... We received a pleasant welcome to this quirky but charming old building. Our room ("Villa Maria") on the front of the hotel had a sunny outlook but was decidedly odd as you enter the room through the bathroom! The sleeping area was very small - this is apparently a "superior" room - and we constantly banged our shins on the... More

We staryed at this very lovely stay and had a free room uprade. Its in a great location near kings college and all the other parts of the centre of Cambridge. Upon arrival as we went to park the car there are very deep water gullys that are about a foot wide outside the hotel which you cannot see if... More

The location is great and the building looks impressive. On arrival the hotel staff were very helpful as we had elderly parents with us and needed wheelchair access. The valet parking (although quite expensive) is very useful as it is difficult to park in central Cambridge. BUT that is were it started to go awry. Our party had booked, a... More

We stayed only a night at the Cambridge Hotel Du Vin but found it a cool experience. We got in late and were helped immediately (someone took our car and bags and check in was easy). They also had shortbread cookies waiting for us upon check in (nice after a long drive from Dover). We stayed in the room Errazuri... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on the first night of our honeymoon at the end of July. The welcome from the staff was friendly and check-in was very efficient. Loved the complimentary shortbread available at reception! We were also given advice re parking, as we were going to be leaving at around 3.30am the next morning to... More

This hotel is in a great location, checkin and checkout desk is a bit frustrating as slow when checking out, staff friendly though. The room I had was beginning to look a little tired and for £175 a night, that's not what you expect.

We stayed one night in August 2014 in a superior room, & really liked the hotel. The staff were very helpful, sorting out parking, taxis, baggage storage etc. quickly, efficiently & with a friendly manner. The homemade biscuits on arrival were a pleasant & delicious touch. Our room was very comfortable & luxurious, with a large bed, comfy armchair &... More

A great hotel in a perfect location. Service was friendly and efficient but not intrusive. The library is lovely and the building is very quirky. Just needs a slight tweek to make check out more efficient.

At check in staff very polite and I got an upgrade. Room spacious and bed comfortable. Bar area had a wonderful atmosphere and enjoyed the evening. Breakfast was fine although the cold buffet could have had a better variety. However service was fine as was the cooked breakfast. Not used to having to order cooked items but the system worked...
