The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms and towels were spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable. Each room had TV, clock/radio, tea -making facilities and a fridge provided. There was a choice of continental or cooked breakfast in pleasant surroundings. As a lone traveller I found it helpful to be able to heat a ready meal in the kitchen/dining room... More

The after hours check-in was very easy and breakfast the next day ample with option of cereals, fruits and yoghurt and full English cooked breakfast. The staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. I have no hesitation in recommending the place. While not in the heart of Cambridge, believe the location is not as remote as some reviewers have commented.

I cannot understand some of the bad reviews here. This is a wonderful Hotel! My parents stayed here for 5 days recently and loved it. Their room was immaculately clean, clean white towels, clean bathroom. Tea/Coffee facilities and a fridge for convenience. Freshly cooked breakfast every morning. What more could you want. very polite and friendly owners was the icing on... More

+ Bed had a good mattress, but a little small for two. + Location is so/so: B&B is not too far away from the city center, only 15 min with the bus; on Sunday, however, the bus doesn't go that often. + Breakfast was good. - Our room was next to the kitchen on the ground floor; we were woken... I picked this place for the night before my wedding and it was perfect! Everyone could have time together but there was still enough space not to feel cramped. The rooms were decorated beautifully. I stayed in the Haven room and loved watching television in the bath! All the guests enjoyed the breakfast.

We stayed here for the duration of the Cambridge Folk Festival weekend. We found it on the web and then booked it by phone. We booked late as we chickened out of camping at the last minute, so we did not have an awful lot of choice - all the hotels were fully booked. We chose this guest house because... More

Whilst the B&B is clean, tidy, modern with very good food, I could not help but feel let down. Firstly, the shower was actually in the bedroom - only a glass door separating the shower from the rest of the room -towels were kept in a separate small toilet room. The sink in that room was so small it was... More

I stayed here for one night using the self checkin which was simple to use . My room was comfortable , spotless and gave every attention to detail with an excellent booklet with information about Iceni house and its facilities. There is so much care here and some lovely touches which show how thoughtful the proprietors are eg chocolates, a... More
