I found this B&B consistent with the reviews I read - nothing flashy, but a good value in expensive Cambridge. The room was small, with the en suite obviously added as an afterthought, so it created an awkward layout, and the decor was what I would call serviceable. However, you can't beat the location if you're traveling by train, and... More

We thank the reviewer for this objective feedback. Railway Lodge was first built as a residential, terrace house in late Victorian times. It was converted into a small, commercial guest house in the late 20th century, when many original features of the property's structure were retained. While accepting that it's not 'state of the art' in conceptual design & decor,... More

Have stayed here on a more long term basis whilst working in Cambridge each week. Working away from home so often is not always a pleasant experience, as very much at the whim of different B&Bs/hotels, however, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Railway Lodge. It is close to the station so a short walk from town (or if you’re... More

Really good location near the train station, 15 minutes walk to the Cambridge city center/university. A perfect choice if visiting Cambridge by train. Stayed there for one night, asked for a twin room, got a room with 1 double plus 1 single bed including wardrobe on the first floor (which is good since no need to drag the luagge to... More

My family and I stayed at this wonderful, quaint little bed and breakfast following a recent visit to Cambridge. We were met "after hours" by the most friendly and kind gentleman who welcomed us and showed us to our rooms despite the late hour of arrival. Our rooms were perfect and had everything we needed. They were impeccably clean with... More

We stayed some days in Cambridge and this B&B was a nice surprise. We loved the room and the English breakfast. Mr Tony is a real gentleman and very helpful. The place is very close to the train station and all the buses go there, so you can go anywhere. Thank you Mr Tony for the nice stay!

Slept here for two nights in cambridge. Nice , big enough room with comfy bed. The owner was really helpful and breakfast good. If you plan to walk to central cambridge, be sure to have comfortable shoes, it is a small walk.

Just a few minutes' walk from the train station and within walking distance to the city center, this lovely guest house offers nice spacious rooms and a hearty english breakfast! Well worth the price, I would definetely stay there again if I went back to Cambridge.

Convenient location (for the railway station), within walking distance of the main centre. Parking immediately outside is restricted to residents only (though the owner can help with this), but just down the street is an area where you can park unrestricted after 5pm at weekends.

We booked this b&b for our last night in England, great distance from railway for towing luggage. Tony the owner goes above and beyond to help with anything you may need to know and also is the waitress at brekky cooked to order by his great offsider, one of the best breakfasts we had while on holidays. Thank you!!!!

Extremely good value for money in a great location. Very relaxed and friendly hosts with a wonderful breakfast thrown in for good measure. First choice for me if I ever need accommodation in Cambridge.
