Room was a bit cramped, particularly with being in the roof space, certainly crammed rooms into the building. It wasn't bad though, and I guess it was a budget option for Cambridge. Was only staying one night and didn't spend much time in the room as I arrived late and left early. Close to the station but a bit of... More

Fenners doesn't rank as a hotel- it's a B&B or guest house. I booked a room with a bathroom, it was very clean and nicely decorated- nicer than the photos show- but quite small- I stayed alone but couples might find it cramped. Disabled access is not very good and the corridors are very narrow and cramped with steep stairs... More

What a shame that a customer service business exists with such disinterest in providing basic comfort for guests. The whole building needs professional refurbishment, the rooms are just a hodge of half repaired cracks and stains... both windows where broken and glass cracked... bathroom was tiny, dirty and grubby silicon gone mad... TV didn't work... room was stifling and hot...... More

Yes the photos on the hotel's website have been embellished but for a one night stay it was clean and in a decent location to the train station and city centre. The walls are thin so I could hear people walking about in the communal areas.

Had to book accommodation at short notice so booked Fenners as everything else was booked. Staff were friendly and it is conveniently located 5 minutes from the station.However... ...There was a lot of noise from the the road and the toilet randomly flushed throughout the night. The broadband was very weak so I had to check out early to work... More

We were desperate for 2 nights accommodation at fairly short notice and this being graduation week we had no choice but to book this hotel which didn't look too bad on Bed Bookers. What a shock when we turned up and the first thing that meets you is a filthy front door. Staff friendly enough. The common area eg corridors... More

I needed a room a short notice for one night - and this was available. I now know why. It is a grubby interior, the welcome non existent, the staff seem uninterested and don't really speak English, and the room rather pokey and the en suite even smaller. Nobody seemd to be serving breakfast - although when someone did eventually... More

this was without doubt the worse place I have ever stayed. I found it very over priced and certainly not value for money -- the room I had was very small and you had to roll the rug up to enter and exit the room, the walls were extremely thin and you could hear talking in the rooms next to... More

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, near to the train station. The hotel room was not clean, hairs in the shower, dust on the table. Kettle with old musty water (needs descaling) and a bed with a dip in the middle. It was very warm the weekend I was there so I walked bare foot and... More

I hadn't even thought of checking reviews beforehand as I found myself desperately needing a bed for the night at 10pm ... gratitude and relief followed as I called and was offered a single room. The lady at reception was very friendly - the room was quiet as it was away from the maddening crowds - sheets clean - so... More
