Hotel located within walking distance to the railway and a short bus ride into Cambridge on the number 13 bus. A range of restaurants available close to the hotel as well as a bowling alley / cinema, good for keeping the teenager amused. Two supermarkets also available. Minicab from town cost £7 - £8, bus into town £2.50.

No frills hotel in a busy city, close to the train station but not the city centre. Surrounded by fast food joints and supermarkets but far from 'the action'. Could be dull. Local buses are OK but don't risk taking the car into town. Nowhere to park. Parking at the hotel is very expensive too.

Good basic accommodation and an ideal base for a short trip to specific events in the Cambridge area. The hotel seemed recently refurbished and was clean and fresh. Staff were very helpful and friendly and a request for additional towels proved no problem. Very quiet at night despite location on a busy leisure park with a lot of attractions nearby.... More

Stayed just for one night with my grown up daughters. We arrived at 11am and were told we could check in early for a fee. We didn't bother with this and instead left bags in car (car parking in front of Travelodge at £12 for 24 hours) and walked into the city centre to meet friends for lunch. Being the... More

This hotel gives you pretty much what you expect from the chain. I had a good size room, albeit without much in it, which was clean and tidy and comfortable. Despite being central and close to bars and restaurants and a cinema/bowling complex my room was very quiet. Also pleased to have air conditioning. The staff were efficient and friendly... More

This was the second year we stayed at the Travelodge while attending the Cambridge Folk Festival. We chose the hotel solely for its location by the railway station and on a bus route to the festival site. Fortunately, it has proved completely satisfactory, with large, clean rooms and no excessive noise despite being located between restaurants and a railway line!... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of August. The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was clean and spacious and laid out as you would expect for a Travelodge. There is a bar and restaurant on site which is reasonable priced and there are plenty of shops and restaurants close by as well as a cinema... More

I Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by a friendly receptionist she happily made my group 6 room keys on her recommendation the rooms were immaculately clean and spacious only complaint is the rooms get very hot quickly and the air con is a little bit ineffective the room had a large window it would of been nice if... Nice and clean. Good central location. And there's leisure complex including plenty of places to dine ( i.e. Nandos, frankies and bennys , chiquito, bella italia etc) cinema and bowling as well. There parking in front of the hotel as well but you need to pay for it. There's a Tesco metro as well if you don't fancy wasting money... More

So I just checked into the Cambridge Central Travelodge for the weekends for an event. Friendly staff service, well mannered and always willing to help. The room is clean and tidy and well laid out however, as I was about to sleep the bed felt really cold. The double bed is soaking wet and soaking into the cover and sheets... More
