Cosy clean rooms, top breakfast (the best in cambridge? I'd say so) and lovely friendly owners. It is also excellent value for money and very close to the city centre. Couldn't ask for more. We will be back!

We stayed with Yvonne and Stefano many times whilst our son was at the University and later when he was working near Cambridge. The location suited us as it was a pleasant walk across Midsummer Common or along the riverbank into the city and also offered off-road parking. The standards of the the house never wavered - warm, spotlessly clean,... More

Once in Cambridge for a job with a colleague, this B & B (or Guest House) was our first accommodation. We immediately noticed the cleanliness of the place, the room is not too spacious but in good working order, clean, equipped with hairdryer, TV and tea making facilities. As the days passed we were also able to appreciate the kindness... More

I stopped here for a couple of weeks, and was absolutely bowled over. The hosts, Yvonne and Stefan are lovely, who bend over backwards to make your stay a comfortable one, and always check to see if there is any more they can do. On my first morning, I overslept, (a sign of a much needed good night’s sleep!) and... More

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Outstanding service. Stefano and Yvonne were very welcoming and incredibly helpful. They always made sure things were alright and that I was comfortable. I felt at home and taken-care of from the moment I stepped through the door. The place was full of human warmth, and I didn't feel lonely at all despite being a... More

We were visiting family in Cambridge and had originally planned to stay at a B&B nearby but our reservation got messed up so we arrived with no place to stay. Fortunately for us, the first place helped us find the Southampton Guest House, only about 3 minutes away. We were effusively welcomed by the owner and shown to our room.... More

Pretty old fashioned, but nothing wrong about this place. Owner is a funny and friendly guy, within walking distance from the city center. Could use a little modernisating here and there, but maybe the old English feel would be gone than...

We came to Cambridge to drop our daughter for interview at the university. We booked a double ensuite room and we were able to park the car and walk into Cambridge, taking about 15-20 mins. We did however surrender to a taxi coming back in the evening in the freezing cold. Shame that although, the Southampton is on a main... More
