The front desk people at the Sorrento were all very helpful, and my room was nice and clean, with thoughtful touches like a retractable laundry line over the tub and an electric kettle with coffee and teas. The location was very handy from the train station. You could easily take the Cherry Hinton St. bus that stops right by the... More

I arrived at this hotel and couldn't stand it. The hotel smelled of damp, the bed room was no bigger than a wardrobe, the room was dated (antique) the bed was so uncomfortable. There were stains on the walls, bed smelled of tobacco smoke. I paid for dinner bed and breakfast but the hotels restaurant was so smelly and dirty... More

This Hotel was a late booking last week for a theatre trip to Cambridge. The location was excellent - no question about it - a couple of miles into King Street, great off street private parking and no fighting for space. The chap behind reception was friendly, very helpful and a good ambassador for the hotel. The bar area looked... More

Stayed for 3 nights and would stay again. Close to the city, with in walking distance to the station. The room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, with a great choice continental and full English with fresh fruit. Bar prices were good as well. Staff were very helpful. All in all had a good time

It smells damp. Looks dated. The four poster bed is very loud when ever you move it it, felt like it was going to fall apart. The wine they served tasted off. The jacuzzi bath didn't work and the TV is really small. Apart from that the free parking is good and the distance to the bowling and cinema complex... More

My visit to Cambridge was for 1 night to compete the formalities of my son entry at Bell English School. The choice of the hotel was merely for its location to the school and the host family. Hotel is clean; room is 16 SQm so it’s pretty big. Over all the hotel is AVERAGE and affordable to stay for 1... More

The Sorrento maybe wasn't what I was expecting. I try and stay in non-chain hotels when possible, and this place feels more like a B&B than a hotel. My room was clean but small with a pretty small bed. The furniture was beautiful, but it felt like I was staying in a boarding house dorm room. The staff were polite,... More

Stayed with friends in this hotel last week, just for one night B&B basis. It is a family run property ( Italian) and everybody on staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with good quality bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent, served to your table and the restaurant decor was fabulous. The number 3 bus stops right outside... ..I think they are embarrassed to do so. Especially at the price. Where shall I start? Well the first room had a broken light and radiator, and so they kindly moved me into the 'honeymoon suite' .... four poster, Jacuzzi, sauna ... but really only a 1970's bedroom 'done posh'. The telephone/alarm clock said it was 2005 (I re-set it... More
