The RGH only has a limited number of parking permits so if you a) don't know this and park outside and/or b) arrive too late to get one of the parking permits, you will get a ticket. In the 5.5 minutes it took for me to arrive and park outside (thinking that that was fine as the Booking.com website advertised... More

The room is in the very center of Cambridge, just on the other side of the park where the bus from London Stansted stop. The nice aspect stops here. The room is very, very, small. The hotel offers rooms with shared bathroom but the towel? two very small. Absence of personnel means no help in case of need for information... More

I stayed in Cambridge for one night only for a two-day project meeting (university business). My room was tiny, but nicely decorated and adequately equipped. The room had a TV (which I never switched on), a water cooker, a comfortable bed, and a sink. The bathroom was shared, and both bathrooms (on the first and second floor) were very clean.... More

We had a really nice stay here over the weekend. Bed was very comfortable, found the lady who appeared to be in charge (Marta) informative and friendly. Room was nicely decorated and well equipped . This said out tv did not work but considering we were only there for one night this was not an issue! Great location for town... More

A centrally located charming boutique hotel with a generous varied breakfast offered, not forgetting the very helpful management and staff. There is no off road parking however there is the possibility to use a resident parking permit if the hotel is advised prior to your stay.

This place is easily summarised by saying that it is a pretty tatty guest house at five star hotel prices, probably worth £30 a night and not £175 that they charged me. When we got there we couldn't get in as no door code was supplied on our email, we had to ring up. It is advertised with parking but... More

Having read some of the reviews, we were worried about what we would find. We arranged to meet Charlotte early afternoon to obtain a parking permit. As we were the first to check in, she showed us 3 double, en-suite rooms. They were individually decorated in a contemporary fashion to a good standard. We chose room 10, right at the... More

Despite having no lift and having narrow stairs, we were quite satisfied with our room. It seemed to have been newly renovated and hence all the furniture seemed spanking new. However, the sink in our ensuite was so tiny that my husband could not brush his teeth without the water spilling out! The breakfast was more than adequate and the... More

It was advertised as free cancellation on their website; when I called to cancel two weeks before I was told everything was done for me. But later on the money was deducted from my bank account. I called to query about it the female staff was very rude and accused me of lying; she said unless I can provide evidences... More

Good points: Good location for the city centre. Clean, modern and well decorated. Not so good points: Our room at the back was immediately adjacent to the pub next door - very noisy until about 1115, though quiet for the rest of the night (weekday stay - might be worse at the weekend). Website advertises parking but this wasn't available... More
