The Hamilton Is situated at the top of Chesterton rd, maybe a little too far for some to walk into the city centre, but ideal for where i wanted to go. My room was situated at the rear of the guest house, so was quiet. Car park is at the rear. The room was average. My room was clean but... more

Apparently hotels in Cambridge are generally very expensive because of the year-round academic tourists and families visiting students. We were somewhat surprised to find out that the best rate we could get for a double en suite B&B was 70 GBP at the Hamilton Hotel. Located a bit far from the city center, the Hamilton is a very large B&B-style... more

My girlfriend and I stayed in an ensuite room for 3 days for a romantic weekend in Cambridge. Positive comment: The service during the breakfast is friendly. maybe a bit too friendly, because too many "thank you's" aren't that reliable, it turns into a standard meaningless phrase... Negative comment: There was fungus in the bathroom. We found used handkerchies in... more

This hotel does exactly what it says on the tin - it's an unpretentious 3 star, with free parking, breakfast was included and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Hotel - it looks to be well maintained, public areas and rooms are clean and welcoming. Furnishings are a little dated (ie axminster style patterned carpets) but all in good nick... more

Short walk from the centre, great staff. You have to pay extra for a room with your bathroom, but not much. Room was small, but to be expected from a B&B. It was clean, breakfast was nice and with parking. If you are staying for a weekend, this is perfect. more

My husband and I have just returned home having spent one night at the Hamilton Hotel, Cambridge. The room was extremely small, and the bed was barely a double. We were situated delightfully right next to the communal showers and toilet. This meant that we were woken up by people seemingly showering in our room in the morning! We were... more

If you're going to spend a few days in the wonderful Cambridge and you are looking for a cheap, unpretentious, typical accommodation, a place like the Hamilton Hotel is the perfect solution. The Hotel is located in a nice house in one of the main roads of the town, where there are local supermarkets open till 10pm when you need... more

Good place to stay in Cambridge, which is such a tourist rip-off. It was reasonably priced, clean, and served very good breakfasts. We were very happy with our stay there. more

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of May. It is quite old fashioned more like your TRADITIONAL B&B rather than a hotel. My room (twin) was fine and clean bathroom/shower decent and breakfast was very good. However the room has probably not been re-done since about the 70's woodchip walls flowery bedspreads, carpets etc. Same with many of... more

I've recently got back from spending one night here over the weekend and can only imagine that its undergone a referb since some of the previous reviews were written! The room (3) wasn't that large but managed to squeeze in a four poster (all be it of the ikea variety). and the bathroom was spotless with a huge shower. Breakfast... more
