We stayed for a weekend. The bar meals were excellent, definitely a cut above the average pub grub. All the staff were friendly and obliging, there was a good choice of real ales, and a good atmosphere in the bar (more lively than usual on the Friday night, I think, because Cambridge Utd were being shown on the TV playing... I still do not understand how this hotel has positive reviews... Anyways, here is my advice to you : Know the location of this hotel : This hotel is at a crossing of red lights. This means that you have two sets of lights on a very busy road. As the buildings in Cambridge have very thin walls, you will... More

I found on booking.com and emailed hotel directly. Accomodated us arriving a 2am. Taxi was £7.80 at that time(bargain!) Most comfortable bed ever slept in. Ensuite a bonus if a little chilly. Bottle water and lots of tea and some biscuits. Didnt try breakfast as overslept due to amazing bed. 20min walk to town. £6 taxi back. Would stay again... More

Only stayed one night but couldn't speak more highly of the friendly staff, cleanliness of lovely room with very comfortable bed and ensuite. Both breakfast and dinner was of exceptional quality and we will definitely go back for a longer stay next time. Lovely 10 minute walk along the river Cam into the centre of beautiful Cambridge. Stayed in the Waterman for two nights whilst visiting Cambridge. We booked an ensuite room which turned out to be very small but clean. Tea/coffee and bottled water supplied. We were at the front so it was a bit noisey as the room was so small we needed the window open. Staff very nice and helpful. Its about 10 minutes... More

Early one saturday morning we decided to visit Cambridge, so I booked a double room with ensuite at the Waterman through LateRooms.com, I paid and received my confirmation 8am that morning. After driving 3hrs we received a call at 12:45pm explaining the room we paid for was already booked and the internet was wrong to show a room available. The... More

I booked in at the Waterman on the strength of previous reviews and must admit to being disappointed. The outside is rather tired but the dining area is quite modern and appealing. At first sight the room seemed clean and comfortable. Unfortunately this first impression was spoiled when we went into the bathroom which looked clean and functional but smelled... More

The Waterman was recommended to me by a family member for a research trip I was planning to Cambridge in June. In December 2013 I booked a room for two nights for June 2014. Alas, circumstances dictated I had to cancel the trip in April so I contacted them right away knowing this was peak tourist and graduation season--as a... More

This B&B is located close to the key attractions of Cambridge (walking distance); the bedroom and shared bathroom were very clean and comfortable, the breakfast good and the service friendly and helpful. Food in the pub was of great quality. This B&B is a 6 pound taxi ride from the railway station. All good value.
