I went to The Waterman with some friends and received a specially bad service: 1. When we were at the table a lady came to take our orders for dinner. After all of us had ordered, she came back and asked us whether we wanted to pay separately, to what we said yes. She asked us to go to the... More

Me and my boyfriend stopped by for a quick breakfast and cup of coffee on Saturday afternoon. Best full English I've had for a while, and the friendly staff made the visit perfect. Will definitely come back!

I should say, the staff is nice. But the place itself isn't good. We stayed there on Saturday evening and as there is a bar there it was quit noisy until 11 in the evening, so it wasn't possible to relax in your room. The breakfast was poor as well. Location wise it is 15 mins from the king's college,... More

We stayed in the Waterman for 3 nights in Jan. Rooms are clean and warm with shared bathroom. Breakfast is good (cereals, yoghurt, toast, boiled egg). If you are looking for a hot breakfast, is an extra cost. The host, Gao is friendly and helpful. The pub itself is nice with a selection of ales and lagers. We are just... More

A pub with rooms, simple as that. Overpriced maybe, I don't know the going rate in Cambridge. Bar meals are fine, good choice of beers and friendly staff. But when it comes to breakfast, Oh what a shocker. I chose the cooked (£ extra). If you like a huge plate full of everything then you might like it. But all... More

Once you've managed to park which can be a bit of a pain its steady progress from there. Maybe a little unappealing from the outside this impression changes when you get in, a cheery welcome, smart modern interior make a good impression, we were given our keys and found our room easily. Small yes but clean and en-suite shower which... More

This hotel could become a little gem when the rooms are upgraded. The beds were now too old and not comfortable. The owner and staff are really friendly. Location is just outside the city centre but still within walking distance. They have rooms with and without private bath room. We had one with which is obviously more comfortable.

Room was nicely decorated, walking distance to the City Centre (Shopping!) and the historical sites of Cambridge. Very convenient as everything I need (grocery, chemist, laundry, etc) are in the vicinity. The B&B is actually located on top of a pub, which serves food and drinks. I really appreciate everybody working there as they are kind and accommodating. I felt... More

As part of our East England tour, we wanted to stay a couple of days in Cambridge spending one night in town, and so we did. The Waterman has a very nice and friendly team that welcomes and helps you quietly and smily. The whole decoration is a bit kitsch, specially in the rooms, lots of shallow and cheap icons... More

The bar doesn't look much from the outside and the interior design is basic. However, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Had the oriental plate to share for starters - the spring rolls were good, especially the duck ones, however the batter on the prawns was very greasy. The main courses were good, the Persian lamb was very good... More
