Overall, the Regent is the best hotel I've stayed in in Cambridge. The only reason I have marked it very good rather than excellent is because creaking floorboards and doors kept me awake longer than I'd have liked, but it wasn't terribly noisy. Overall I was left with a very positive impression which was no doubt helped by an upgrade... More

I was at a conference in the university and it was a late booking, most usual suspect hotels were full so this was an 'also ran'. .However its a very nice little hotel, it stands out on Regent street and looks smart for the outside, its equally as smart inside. I was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who... More

The location is excellent for central Cambridge, the biggest downside is the hotel has no car park. We used the Queen Anne Terrace car park nearby which cost over £21 for an nearly 24hour stay. On the positive side, staff were great, we tried to check in before the room was ready and there was no problem leaving luggage which... More

Stayed November 6th & 7th. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable "standard" double room. Good size bathroom, good wardrobe with enough hangers and excellent lights for reading. Hotel very clean and well decorated. "Continental" breakfast, but if that conjures up images of tired croissants and weak coffee, think again! Cereals, fruit, cheeses, cold meats, gluten free options and many... More

Bright, spacious, well-looked after hotel with wonderful character to the rooms. Well appointed bathroom including a large bath, decent shower and bidet. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was generous and varied. We stayed here for a weekend break to take in a concert at the Junction and attend an event at the Guildhall. Both were in... More

it deserves it. This hotel pulls off quite a difficult trick very well. It is a medium size hotel and is family owned. However, it has all the friendliness of a small family hotel and the facilities and feeling of space of a larger hotel. All the staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is excellent (not cooked, but... More

Excellent Location in the heart of Cambridge, Lovely bright decor in the hotel. Rooms are great value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was more like a full English breakfast without the cooked part, with so much choice. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

I love staying here. Breakfast is very nice and a large buffet. The space is bright and open and very modern. I would absolutely recommend to colleagues to stay. Restaurants are directly outside the hotel, about a 10 min walk to the universities.

Not the fanciest but more than adequate. Room 105 good size. If you are dropping your child off or visiting them at school it is very reasonable for the amenities. Parking is tough though ( as it is throughout Cambridge). We will keep coming back.

We stayed here having booked seats to see John Bishop at the Corn a Exchange. What a pleasant surprise. it felt small enough to be a boutique hotel. Because Cambridge is such a bicycle centric city car parking is a bit of a pain but we found a cheap side street location 150 yards away. The walk into the city... More
