This hotel is centrally situated in Cambridge, just across a road from the river Cam. The hotel is a conversion from 3-4 town houses and so has several sets of internal stairs, but no lifts. Elderly guests will have difficulty as the stairs are steep. I had to assist an elderly gentleman with his luggage, up three flights of narrow,... More

Stayed here for two nights Easter weekend. It's a little different to how it is represented on website I felt. Clearly Georgian houses knocked through to one big b&b, not quite the hotel on the river that we thought (although our room did have a river view from across the road!) perfect location opposite Jesus gardens, 5 min walk to... We were invited to a Burlesque show in the centre of Cambridge and this hotel was well located only 10 minutes walk. Very pleasant reception. Made to feel special. Room allocated 3 hours before due time. Room a bit on the small side, but very comfortable and clean. Breakfast consisted of Continental, with cereals juices tea coffee etc, with a... More

The hotel is in a great location and although a little over-priced was reasonably comfortable. Food was above average. But....room on third floor up very steep narrow stairs (no lifts) was a real trial for 70+ year olds with heavy suitcases. Rather than offer any assistance receptionist shrugged her shoulders with an almost surly "what's it to me" attitude. All... More

A classic town centre Hotel with friendly (well, mostly), well- trained staff. Reception was organised and the car park, especially in Cambridge, was worth its weight in gold. We booked through bookin.com at £118 a night including continental breakfast (full English for a small extra payment). Good value, but..!!!! Our Main criticism.......we were on the second floor, up three flights... More

Large hotel with rooms over several floors. No lifts so not good for any one with limited mobility. Ideal location for walking into the centre as it is just a 10 minute stroll. Rooms at the front overlook a lovely park opposite across the River Cam. Rooms at the back overlook the car park. Stayed here as part of a... More

Stayed two nights and whilst it is a bit over priced, it is a good hotel, convenient for the town. My room was clean and comfortable with a view over Jesus Green and was very quiet. Perfectly adequate although the stairs are a bit of a difficulty for me and some of the staff can be a little brusque. Ample... More

We were visiting Cambridge with the Handlebar Club. Every year the AGM takes place in a different town in Britain and we are treated to hotels of varying quality. This year we were delighted. We had a large ground floor room with a view of the Cam. The hotel provided a very good quality travel cot (including wipes and nappy... More

stayed here for two nights. Husband upgraded our room to a deluxe room. The only deluxe thing was probably the view of the Cam. The room was small, bed was small, TV was placed on the wall that if you wanted to watch it while in bed you'd end up with a stiff neck! Location though is great, free parking... More

The hotel is nicely decorated with a friendly staff, free parking and comfortably walkable into Cambridge. The room was comfortable and the cleaning service of the best standard. Free Wifi although the signal was a bit weak.
