Location: ok Rooms recently refurbished: Ok Breakfast: poor If you are choosing this hotel because it says 'free parking' then think again. They have 5 bays for 40 rooms on a first come first served basis. I ended up parking in a multi-storey near by, but if I had known I would have chosen a different place closer to the... More

My first impressions were of shabbiness. Apart from reception it all seems to be in dire need of redecoration. Stairs up to my room were narrow and steep with a difficult low beam to negotiate, luckily I'm short. The single room was very small and felt very cramped. No bath, just a small shower and little space between that and... More

Colleagues and I stayed here for three nights this week. I think I was the lucky one when it came to room allocation though! My room was spacious, although the bathroom and especially the shower, was small! Decor was a little old fashioned and being situated in the front of the hotel on a busy main road did mean there... I ended up in the handicapped room near the "spa", which is pretty smelly, kind of gave a hotel feel like a hospice. Next day I asked for a different room, which ended up the basement in a different building. Nice room, but a basement nevertheless. Breakfast is alright. The location is good, though.

Very conveniently located. Clean and adequate. Decor dated but this reflected in price. Breakfast included - again basic but sufficient.staff very helpful and friendly. Very easy to find hotel and it has lovely kerb appeal.

Surely not the biggest rooms of hotels history , but really a nice place to stay for a few days. Everything you might need is here , and the staff is helpful and kind. The forniture is quite old , but beautiful : if you prefer "modern" forniture then you should look somewhere else.

We stayed at The Lensfield for only 1 night. It was in a good location, staff were friendly. We booked a double and the room, including the bathroom, was quite spacious. Decor is a little outdated, but the room was clean and laid out with slippers, chocolates and tea, coffee and biscuits. There was also free wifi in the room.... More

The Lensfield is OK but not much more than a glorified B&B. They have tried to cheer the rooms up a bit with nice bedding but the original furniture is very dated and the rooms are small and ours was very, very cold with a heater we had to switch on ourselves and no working heating in the bathroom. They... More

My stay was really REALLY bad... - I heard people talking/coughing through the walls all the time all evening and late into the night - There was CONSTANT very loud noises/thumps all through the night, of people moving around/walking up and down the halls/walking around their rooms. Every part of this hotel has squeaky floorboards, I didn't get a wink... More

Stayed for 2 night break with son..nice, quiet room, possibly as at back, and at the top...very comfy beds. Had a lovely massage in inviting and spotlessly clean boutique spa in hotel basement...what a treat after a day's sightseeing!
