My wife and I and our 2 year old son stayed here for two nights, we had an Executive room, the name probably relates to the size of the room. Things we liked - Room size, good firm comfortable bed, facilities in room (also see bad), breakfast variety and also service staff, helpful reception, proximity to city centre Things we... more

The reception staff were generally very friendly. The hotel is run by four sisters and is due to expand into the adjacent houses in 2010. The rooms are small but this was clear from the web site. The hotel was very clean and during a two night stay the bed was completely changed as were the bathroom towels. A bath... more

Our party was visiting Cambridge for a graduation. We found the Lensfield to be in an excellent location for our needs. For me it had a really nice guest house feel about it. There are only 5 car parking spaces on the frontage of the hotel, but we had alternative arrangements for our vehicles so this wasn`t a problem to... more

I agree with bowtie's appraisal. My room was also small, but it had everything. Being November, my price was only 65 pounds. The great surpise was the breakfast: excellent fresh fruit salad, as well as many other buffet options including, rather oddly, chocolate cake and raspberry flan! No complaints. more

I was there for one night and the hotel provided everything I needed: excellent location and service quite friendly and efficient. The room was small but it was fine: well equipped, clean and comfortable. The limited car parking is a slight drawback, but there are ways round this. more

We stayed at the Lensfield on a Saturday in August as part of a weekend trip and were very pleased with our choice of hotel. The hotel does not look very impressive upon arrival as it occupies a small space in a terrace of houses on quite a busy road but once we checked in and made our way to... more

We were so disappointed with the family room we booked for one night. The room itself was small and poorly decorated with wallpaper peeling and paint coming off the ceiling in the bathroom. It bore no resembelence to the smart well appointed rooms shown on their website. The towels must have been purchased in about 1970 they were so thread... more

I booked this hotel as I spent a month as a student at the Summer Schools at the University of Cambridge. It has been a very pleasant stay: my single room was small, but nicely decorated and with all facilities provided. It was at the underground floor. Breakfast was good and the hotel is well located, at fifteen minutes walk... more

A very pleasant stay - my single room was not large, but nicely decorated and with all facilities provided. It was at the top of the building , so could have been very hot and claustrophobic, but , hurrah, an air con unit. Well positioned, less than 10 mins walk from central Cambridge. so perfect for attending graduations at Kings.... more

I booked this accommodation on my business trip. The hotel is located in walking distance from the city centre, very close from bus station and University. Nice, very welcoming deco outside, nice and charming reception. The room was small, but very comfortable with nice and well maintained washroom. However taking a shower was quite a challenge. It had pleasant restaurant,... more
