Small friendly hotel about one kilometer from Kings college / city centre area. Spa newly built with attentive staff and exotic treatments. Only 5 parking spaces on a first come basis. Have plenty of change if you have to use the nearest paid parking - 50p for 10mins! The Twin Room up in the attic was quiet and had all... More

Location was good. But the room was too small. Better to upgrade to larger double. Breakfast rather good if a little eccentric. For example cheesecake...Reception helpful. I felt the price a little high for the size of room.

As other reviewers have noted, the rooms are compact, the decoration is a little quirky, and the area can be a little noisy at night. However it's clean, everything works, the service is very friendly, and the breakfast is good. It's a very easy walk into the centre of Cambridge and to the railway station.

Very nice friendly hotel with small corridors for each room. The rooms was decent size and clean. Could have done with some air freshener. Very good breakfast and free wifi made it worthwhile. The washroom had a nice shower room which was clean all over. Welcome water bottle, tea and biscuits with mint chocolate was a treat. Note: The spa... More

We have stayed here regularly, and to be honest this is going to be the last time. The rooms are extremely small; each movement has to be pre-planned; entering the toilet for example can be likened to completing a 3 point turn in a car. The temperature is close to tropical. Even after opening the window, and turning off the... More

I stayed here whilst accompanying my daughter to a university interview, ( she was accommodated at St. Johns). The position was fabulous as we arrived by train, it was approx. a 15 minute walk from the station. The reception was welcoming and tastefully decorated for Christmas. My single room, although small (I was informed of this fact on booking) it... More

Stayed for one night in a twin room (the last available) on a Friday night, with no great expectations. It was under £100/night including B&B and pretty close to the city centre. The room was very nice, however, if a little cramped. But certainly fine for one night. The room we stayed in did have one of the sash window... More

We were a bit concerned when we saw some of the previous lukewarm reviews but had a lovely stay here. Our room (162) was modern, spotless, good size, great French door onto balcony area (this would be marvellous in the summer), bathroom warm and modern, proper mugs for tea, decent sized flatscreen etc etc. We wanted a reasonably priced central... The hotel looks great from the outside, and that's about where my positive comments end. The room was very small, with what must once have been a large cupboard (complete with ill-fitting sliding non-lockable cupboard door) now a shower room, less than a metre wide. I wouldn't say the room was dirty, but it was certainly dingy and shabby -... More
