The hotel was undergoing a major refurbishment which I was not made aware of at time of booking. The modernised areas of the hotel were comfortable and pleasant. The rest of the hotel was either a building site or very dated!!! The bar was useless, the dining room was dated but did serve an average - good buffet breakfast. The... More

Hotel is 10-15minute walk from the railway station. Check in was quick and staff were helpful. Bedroom was clean but very dated and quite small for a double room. There was little room to be able to sit and work at the desk. Bathroom was small as well. Breakfast room is downstairs and there is a good choice but it... More

Excellently situated midway between the railway station and the city centre and a reasonable walk to the most interesting colleges, museums, restaurants and bars. The hotel is on a busy main road and my room was at the front, making it very noisy. The hotel appeared to be good value but only once booking is complete are you informed that... More

Located between Train station (~20min walk) and town centre. Single Room is stuffy even in Dec. I found electric fan in wardrobe and believe many guests have commented on it . The staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast in buffet style and no surprise at all.

Not sure our room had been touched since 1984. Staff polite, room clean on the surface but very tired - couldn't quite bring myself to use the shower, a bit of sealant was needed at the very least! Went to breakfast, had some toast, don't understand how scrambled eggs can be watery kind of put us off. 11.30 check out... More

My daughter had an interview with Cambridge and she stayed in the dorm/college. I needed a single for myself and this was the closest/nicest option (I'm walking …). My previous experiences with English hotels left me with very low expectations, but this was cute and cozy. Staff was friendly and welcoming (especially the breakfast staff). Breakfast itself was just so-so,... More

A few people have mentioned that the rooms are very small. Yes they are, but the hotel's website warns you about this and it is reflected i the price. If you want bigger rooms this close to the town center you're going to be paying twice as much. So if you are an XXXL or like to have plenty of... More

More of a B and B than a hotel with breakfast only until 9.30 on a Sunday morning too early if you have been at a party the night before we misdeed it! This made it an expensive option and overpriced for the facilities on offer basically a rather souless bar. Room perfectly fine and good toiletries. Well located 5... More

I stayed here with a girlie friend for a night out in Cambridge, arrived 6.30, and shown to our room, 2 single beds and wardrobe/dressing table very limited floor space. Bathroom - air vent missing, plug in basin missing - god forbid you drop an earring, tiles on the floor need more grout in. Generally the interior of the rooms... More

Hotel is situated 10 mins walk from the heart of Cambridge. Room was big(152), quaintly decorated with a huge sleigh bed. Everywhere was clean. Breakfast delicious and staff very friendly and helpful. All in all, a very nice stay. Good value for money.
