Well, this is an interesting one.... The first room i was given in this hotel was DIRE. Something I'd expect of a 2/3 star hotel. The room was tiny, not even enough room for a full size wardrobe/desk. Additionally, the bathroom was tiny. Perhaps, but not quite, worst was the quite prevelant damp problem. Wallpaper was peeling away from the... more

Dear guest Thank you for posting your comments about your recent stay. We do, as you have pointed out, have up grade rooms in the hotel. This does not excuse the wall paper, and I will instruct the Maintenance Team to complete a full inspection of the Standard wing. The hotel did under go a £2.2 Million refurbishment of the...

Ideally suited to our needs, from the minute that we started organising the conference through to the actual event itself. Ideally located for our team who were travelling from all over the country, we all benefitted from the helpful friendly staff and attentive service. The food for the event was well received, especially the bacon rolls at the start of... more

I can't put into words how soul-less and depressing this place is, literally in the middle of nowhere, and a 20 minute drive from Cambridge. It's devoid of any atmosphere and full of business travellers who stay there only because they have to. I find the staff outwardly pleasant but lax, foreign and uncompromising. Having stayed here more than once,... more

20 minutes on the bus (from just around the corner from the hotel) gets you into the centre of Cambridge. About £15 taxi to get back, but the convenience of leaving the car in the free hotel car park is worth it. Clean modern rooms. Hotel has a good pool with sauna etc. Breakfast better than average. Well worth £40... more

We attended a wedding in February 2009 , everything went to plan attentive but not over powering staff always on hand to ensure smooth running. Wedding breakfast superb food, drink, waiting staff all excellent. Next day had lunch in restaurant for 30+ for wifes birthday, absolutely faultless. Buffet style cooked to perfection with as much or as little as you... more

Arrival was great, staff made us so welcome. Check in was a breeze and within a few minutes we were in the bar. Hotel was comfortable, clean and really friendly. We stayed for dinner, superb menu and food and great wine, again stafff were on the ball and so friendly. The golf course is good and even for that time... more

Had a wonderful time here - great room, really enjoyed breakfast and dinner, and won at golf! Came to a wonderful wedding here a couple of years ago so chose this hotel when I was looking to book a weekend away recently with some friends, for some shopping and golf. It's out of the city itself but in my view... more

We held our inaugural golf day, presentations & dinner at this hotel. It was the perfect venue for all our needs, accommodation, meeting rooms, car parking to accomodate 19 metre length truck, golf course and 3 course meal. We had approx 60 people throughout the day. The staff were very friendly, helpful and very efficient. The meal was fantastic &... more

Although this is a good location and has the promise of some nice facilities, the actual room I was given was very poor indeed. I was put on the ground floor by the health center and the room was very uncomfortable, dirty and had a really worn feel. Regular prices are upwards of £150 and this is treble what I... more

Dear Guest I was disapointed to read your comments on Trip advisor. WiFi is currently something that we are looking into as a group, and hopefully will be fully available by the end of this year. We reference to your room, I can only apologise that is was not up to standard, which is not usual of our service levels....

Don't pay the stupid city centre prices when this hotel has it all. Great modern hotel, fully equipped with a stunning golf course. Staff all very friendly and you can get a great deal on a short break if you call the hotel direct. Only negative was the room seemed hot, but to be fair we didn't turn the AC... more
