I chose and booked the Centennial Hotel due to its proximity to the venue where I was attending a function. Check-in was efficient and friendly. I was pointed to my room, which was on the first floor. So, I opened the room door and was surprised to find such a small room. The single bed was pushed right up against... More

I selected this hotel due to its proximity to the station, and went for a "budget" single room. The receptionist I booked with explained all the limitations of the budget room - mainly the room size - in case i needed something better, but for a single night it was fine. The bed was comfy, and I slept well. The... More

Visited for Cambridge interviews in December 2015. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room contained all the basics you could need, as well as an LCD TV. Bathroom facilities new and very clean. Breakfast and dinner in hotel was delicious, and dinner menu had reasonable deals. Would return if in area for short time again. Many thanks!

I have stayed at this hotel several times on business and the best things to be said for it are that 1) the staff are all exceedingly pleasant, helpful and friendly 2) the location is good, close to the station and only a short walk to the centre with all its amenities and 3) there is a free car park,... I stayed here on business. It's extremely convenient, being only a five minute walk from the station and it also has its own carpark. I emailed ahead to ask for a room involving as few stairs as possible and at the rear of the building. I should warn prospective guests that there is no lift in the hotel and the... More

Rooms were a little tardy and dark, while the bathroom was small and rather cramped. Breakfast was cooked to order but was rather on the greasy side. Rather old fashioned and in need of a facelift, looks good from the outside.

It's a hotel - no more, no less. It has car parking, which is a plus. As was the delightful welcome from a charming Italian lass on reception. The room is pretty stark and has most of the bare essentials. It would benefit from a bottle of water and a little less heat. The bar is an unwelcome reminder of... More

Contacted the hotel beforehand to ask whether I could leave my car at the hotel and to request a ground floor room. I received a very quick reply and both were sorted. On arrival, I was impressed by the reception staff and during my stay, was impressed by the attention paid to detail by all the friendly staff. The room... More

This is my hotel of choice when staying in Cambridge, and it is interesting to see how it has developed as a good three star hotel. Rooms can be quirky, some very small, but beds are always comfortable, there is plentiful tea and coffee and the rooms not facing the main road are quiet. Recent refurbishments to bathrooms have made... More

You get a real welcome at this hotel from the friendly and helpful reception staff. We were upgraded to a de luxe room, which was smallish but well-appointed. It was clean, warm and comfortable and we enjoyed a good couple of nights' sleep. There were tea and coffee-making facilities, a TV and ironing board with iron. The bathroom was clean... More
