I went with several friends to have afternoon tea. The gardens are well worth exploring, very well kept. We had full afternoon tea in a large room, sitting in comfortable chairs. But we were the only ones, there was no atmosphere. Tea was pleasant, but the sandwiches were cold, obviously hadn't been taken out of the fridge in time. We... More

I stayed at Madingley Hall for 1 night on my way home from Norfolk to explore Cambridge the next day. Madingley Hall is a beautiful big old building with Character, sitting on a lawn and gardens from the front view there were cows grazing in the fields. We had a double room booked with breakfast. The room was adequate for... More

this is a good place to stay for few nights. The place is very remote. The rooms are very simple, but the gardens are beautiful. However it shall be noted that some parts of the garden are not open always, and it is better to check it. there are some organised excursions to the garden, which is worth attending. there... More

The setting is perfect, so peaceful and the building is so well maintained. What a shame the food is so basic and the breakfast is dormitory style. My room was a standard single, about the same size as where I keep my rabbits ! So pleased I did not go for a compact single, too small to contemplate. Breakfast was... More

A beautiful building and grounds. I booked a compact single and it certainly was! But the bed and very comfortable and the sheets good quality. Enough tea and coffee. A very good shower with lots of power and clean throughout. Breakfast was really very good in terms of both both selection and quality. I do think overall it was a... More

I was at Madingley for a course, the package included room, meals and lectures. The hall is beautiful as are the grounds. The room was in a tower, cosy and clean, bathroom had a good sized shower. I would stay here if in the area ,

This is the third time that I have stayed at Madingley Hall for a conference. The bedrooms are basic, but most importantly clean and adequate. The food is a good standard, although I found the breakfast and lunches to be superior to the dinner. The building is beautiful and a tour of the hall and/or the gardens are recommended. The... More

I stayed here over night as part of a wedding party, Madingley Hall is a beautiful place, the food was good and most of the staff were well alright. My main gripe is with one of the receptionists being very unreasonable and rude when we tried to get our room changed and the cleaning lady who tried to clean our... More

We held our daughters wedding here the end of March, we couldn't fault the staff, food or the venue.A lot of the guests stayed over until Sunday morning and all bar none said how well they had slept and what a fantastic place Madingley Hall was. We were lucky with the weather and were able to hold the pre dinner... More
