Just great...a bit of Old England. Modern, functional bedrooms attached to the back of an old Hall. Gardens are lovely, lots of grass and great smells! The bar is again funcitonal, sensible prices would be even better if they had a real beer tap. Breakfast served in a refrectory type room wih long tables and pictures of old gentlemen glaring... This is totally a remarkable place to stay in. It has so much to offer that you might not even want to venture out of its territory. One of the best places I have stayed in the UK. Good points: - Grand view, outside inside and through out - Has a tower with lots of history - Food is great.... More

I had to make a pretty much last minute journey to Cambridge and looked at a lot of different hotels, Premier Inn, Travel Lodge, Holiday Inn all over £70 for B&B, local hotels I reearched were charging £50 without breakfast and some of the reviews were pretty grim. I paid £55 to stay in a compact single room and was... More

I have stayed here a few times and will definitely stay again. The grounds are amazing and the views just stunning - the perfect place to unwind after a day at work. The staff are very polite and friendly. The room I stayed in was smallish but what else would you want from single quarters? The decoration is tasteful and... More

A beautiful manor house. Stunning building, beautiful gardens, lovely rooms and a great price. The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast was good. It is the house itself and the gardens that are the real selling points. Also a nice easy hop into Cambridge. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was really well appointed and the building is beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the gardens.

Stayed here yesterday as by girlfriend was in Papworth for the night, had the compact single room for £55 which was basic but very clean, well equipped pretty much faultless really. The staff are all friendly and the Hall and grounds itself are beautiful. Breakfast was also really good which a nice selection of hot and cold, buffet style in... More

I can only reiterate the other excellent reviews. I stayed here on a work related trip for one night. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and accomodating. When I couldn't get a wifi connection, the manager had a go and when that failed, lent me one of their laptops; while I was waiting for my taxi I was offered... More

I spent a couple of nights at Midingley hall, and was shocked by how good it was. The rooms sell at bugdet-hotel prices (in this case 55 pounds per night), but the hall is actually a beautiful building set in stunning, extensive grounds. It's university-owned so the rooms are very much like student-rooms ... but the doesn't mean they're lacking... More

My teenage son and I stayed at Madingley Hall overnight after my sister's wedding. All the staff I spoke to were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the day and the food was superb (and infinitely better than that which I've been served by some chain hotels in the last few months). Our accommodation was very comfortable, extremely clean and well... More
