Stayed for a night in Sunday. Got last minute booking via booking.com and got double room for £70. We arrived just after mid day and left car in car park to start our day, we were told we could check in after three and as long as we were back before 11 we could check in at any time. Staff... More

Its pretty basic but the staff are brilliant and helpful, the food is good and plentiful. I stayed two nights and had LIver and mash one night and the mixed grill the next it was great. The pub can be a little noisy on football nights but never enough to intrude up to the rooms. Access from the car park... More

We stayed at the Earl of Derby May 2 - 5, 2013. We were very well welcomed by the person in charge that day, Quick check in, and the room we got had everything ones need for a stay in a Pub. The food was very good and the portions was large, a bit too much really, that´s value for... More

Clean and comfortable with good sized bedroom and bathroom. Friendly staff. Good location. A bit of traffic noise due to location but not a serious issue. Should not be judged by external appearances - the standard is much higher than it looks.

Proper local pub with decent sized clean rooms, en suite. One of the very few places in Cambridge that will allow one night stays not which is important to us as we bring our son down to Uni at the beginning of term and this place is really good value for money. Small car park which is free for guests.... More

We picked this pub as it was close to where our daughter both works and lives while she is at university. I was a little sceptical I must admit as its a pub but it just shows how you shouldn't judge! Having read the reviews on here I though Ok give it a go and we were not disappointed. This... More

The location is excellent. The staff great and the breakfast good quality and generous. Our bed was new and very comfortable. Our room was in the part that is not over the pub so no noise from the pub at all, even the live band. The only thing I would say is the room could have done with a good... More

Nice place to stay, just spent a day in Cambridge and this was a really nice place to stay, good food at the charming pub, very accomodating, short walk into the center of town and shopping, located right by bus station, had read mixed reviews but I liked and would stay there again.

Local pub that is a very short walk from the train station. Good pub food all day, especially the full english in the morning. I tried a couple of pints of the Olde Trip which were well kept as far as I could tell. It was fairly quiet on Sunday night, but I think they have live music on Saturday.... More

Very clean and modern room, friendly staff, great service, surprisingly quiet, convenient position, powerful shower, good size room, good price, excellent full english breakfast, nice pub with nice clientele - we had an excellent stay in Cambridge which was definitely made even better by staying here.
