I stayed in one of the serviced apartments offered by the hotel with my wife and 3yr old son. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. The double apartment consisted of a large bedroom (1 double, 1 single bed), a large living room (couch, dining table, tv, wifi), a good sized kitchen and a bathroom all of which were well... more

The website is very seductive and heaven knows where they must have used for the photographs but it really is false advertising. There is nothing luxury about this apartment. Most striking is the grubbiness of the carpet - ancient yellow carpet heavily stained. A rather gruesome feature is that there is carpet in the shower room - blue and again... more

Normally on flying visits to High Wycombe I stay at the Premier Travel Inn at Loudwater. This time I searched for something a bit cheaper and came up with the Wendover Arms. When I arrived I was told it might get a bit noisey, due to a disco, so it was suggested that I stay at the Buckingham Hotel, a... more

We stayed in the apartment part of the hotel, which I think is a good idea and the rate was very cheap. The apartment was nice but a little bit dirty and we found a number of dead flies in the rooms. The decor also needs a little updating. The garden space was very big but for some reason filled... more

I normally stay elsewhere in Wycombe but due to availablitity problems decided to give this hotel a go. After viewing the swish website promising LCD televisions and free internet connections in each room I was sorely disappointed. I had selected the non-smoking option when booking but when I turned up the room I was given in the main building reeked... more

We booked very easily over the phone for a cheap room with shared bathroom. On arrival we were upgraded to an en-suite as they were not fully booked. The room was very well furnished and spotlessly clean. We also ate at the hotel and the food was very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful with our enquiries. We hope... more

We were in one of the apartments and not the main hotel. It looked alright but we had three main problems. The fire alarm went off due to the steam from the shower. The hotel staff had to turn the alarm off. A mouse or rat came into the room at night. I heard it rustling plastic bags and saw... more

When we arrived at The Buckingham Hotel we were advised we are not staying in the hotel we will be staying down the road and someone will come to show us. We were then told we had to walk back up to the hotel which was about 5 minutes walk for our evening meal. After we got down the road... more

Hotel is situated some 15min walk from the city centre, and some 30min walk from the train station. Hotel is not so big, but very pleasant and clean. Staff is really very helpful. Hotel has two separate buildings on the same street in distance of some 5minutes walk, no need to take a drive unless you have some heavy luggage.... more

Spent 4 nights at Buckinghamhotel in Wycombe...we stayed in a 'luxury' bedsit and I must say....very clean, very cosy, very good price and had everything ( even a washing machine ) but not a phone. We needed a phone to call the receptionist to send us a driver (free) so we could eat our yummy full english breakfast every morning.... more
