Stayed at Uplands for one night after booking through the De Vere 'Spring Lovin' promotion, so only set us back £19. In comparison to say a Travelodge (of a similar cost), Uplands was certainly of a higher standard. The staff were friendly and there is a nice bar/lounge area. The rooms however are a little on the old side and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent stay. The £19.00 offers are great and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. I have certainly taken on board your comments about the bedrooms and it is certainly my plan to plan in a refurbishment programme. Thanks Simone Brinkworth More

We stayed here for a night in March getting a late deal for £19 for the night. The grounds are lovely and it feels like you are a long way from the rest of the world whilst on site. The rooms are different as they run door corridors which are external which makes it hard to get your bearings however... More

We have used Devere hotels on several occasions, however, this was our first trip to a hotel with our 6 month old. The price of our three night stay was amazing, excellent value. As the cost was so good, we didn't expect too much of the hotel, however, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The location and the grounds... More

This is the second time we have stayed at the Uplands with De Vere's Spring Loving deal. The deal is wonderful and you can't fault it, but this time we stayed in room 66 and the water in the bath wouldn't turn off, and the towel rail still hadn't been fixed. Definitely stay there but check that Room 66 has... More

We booked the Uplands for 2 nights Sat - Mon at £19 a night, on their great value low cost room offers. This is probably the 5th time we have stayed at a Devere and we have always had a lovely time. It is obvious from the outside that this is a much older conversion that some of their other... More

We booked a last minute overnight stop at DeVere's Uplands Venue through CodeHot Hotels as a refuge following a day of spectation at the London Marathon. We chose it because it was just off the M40 on our route home. At less than £20 we were not expecting much, but the location was excellent - just 10 minutes off the... More

Venues are main,y training or seminar centres so are designed that way so don't expect 4 star normal DeVere high standards room wise. Indeed on Sundays or in the sale rooms can be booked for as low as 19 pounds Which is remarkable . I love venues as they are mainly old stately homes with new accommodation wings added .... More

Stayed here for 2 nights for a budget break in April. We were expecting the normal budget rooms and service but on arrival we had a very pleasent supprise. The room though small was well furnished and comfortable ,with 20" flat screen tv,free wireless internet and a good view over the surrounding countryside. Bathroom was large though the fittings needed... More

We thought a De Vere Hotel at a bargain price sounded great for a 3 night weekend break. How wrong we were. Photos on their site looked fab, large old house and gardens. Look to the left of the house, this was where the rooms were and looked (and felt) like Crossroads Motel! Bright blue window frames, what an eyesore.... More

We booked this hotel initially for one night's stay as we were going to Legoland, however we booked an extra night for the prior evening as we'd got a long journey ahead of us.
