Having stayed at other hotels by this chain e were disappointed.. The room was basically clean and the bed was very comfortable but the bathroom was in need of a good renovation grout between the tiles was missing and mould was growing in some of the gaps which was very off putting. Good location and secure parking.

I booked into this hotel because my other haunts, both De Ver's, near by were full. Having been here before, my expectations were modified by my previous experience. Lovely location with secure parking, those who are not fully mobile may have difficulty as the walk to the reception is open, up an incline and with two series of steps. Excellent... More

I purchased a room on a well known site but later realised that it was cheaper to book straight through the website. The grounds and surroundings were breath taking. I arrived at night and it was well lit and therefore easy to find. Reception area clean and easy to find, the receptionist who greeted me was warm and courteous. Unfortunately... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and was able to get a good deal on the rate. Very impressive looking hotel from the front, with beautiful grounds. There are a large number of rooms surrounding the courtyard, which I'm guessing where originally some kind of servant quarters or outbuildings, which have been converted to rooms. We stayed in one of... More

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a party there. On arrival we trekked up to reception in the rain as it isn't possible to park very close. We then had to cross the courtyard to reach our room ( no.71). But unlike many other customers, we had an okay room. it was warm, had fantastic views, the... More

First things first, the bathroom fittings are not shiny new and there is a little black showing on the mastic between the tiles. Does that really matter ? I say that because my room (room 40) was lovely and clean with crisp fresh sheets and it was a big room with french windows opening out onto woodland. The heating worked... More

We have just returned from a 3 night break visiting our daughter in High Wycombe. I found this particular hotel from a well known website but found that the offered deal was actually better when booking directly with the hotel. The location is superb and looks very impressive on arrival with beautiful grounds. Our room was generally ok although there... More

I don't understand why this hotel has bad reviews. This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel, both times because we were visiting Thorpe Park. The price had gone up for this trip,so I e-mailed the hotel and was very pleased when they said they would match the price of our last stay, cutting the cost of this stay by almost... As you read everything below, I was given a 50% discount on what I paid after this experience. As you arrive you see a large stately home, which is the main part of the hotel. After you check in, you realise that you are sleeping in one of the accommodation blocks that spiral off from the old house. They are... More
