Cracked tiles in bathroom tap on sink loose small room and the most grotty kettle I have ever seen...dust on top with stagnant water and thick limescale inside...hence we didn't have a hot drink and decided not to stay for the breakfast ...stayed at Boxmoor Lodge last time and never had a problem wouldn't go to this place again..

by the time I arrived at the abbey lodge to check inn I had been driving for 7 hours, I was tired, hungry and stressed from the muggy warm evening. This made me somewhat grumpy, the guy on reception was really nice and nothing was too much bother for him, I was so stressed with the heat that I asked... More

Booked 3 single rooms on a Saturday night as a stop over after ac/dc concert at wembley, paid £40 per room including breakfast, at this price we was not expecting too much, but we were very pleased, rooms were very clean, bedding was luxurious, tv,coffee making facilities and brand new en suit, breakfast was buffet style and plentiful, off road... Paid 55 pounds for the room and breakfast for two. Room clean and comfortable, easy walk into town with free car parking. Great choice of nicely cooked food for breakfast. The rooms at the back of the hotel have nice views, added bonus was fast and free wi fi.

I don't know what all the bad reviews are on about this hotel is lovely! It's clean, good facilities, friendly helpful staff, comfy bed with feather bedding and a good breakfast. And it's only 5 mins from town centre. What more do you need?

Great value for money, particularly for a single night stay - booked it to visit Daws Hill Vineyard, to avoid going on a motorway after champagne testing ;) ... not disappointed at all. Our room was nice and clean, comfy bed, although it would've been great to have better soundproofing. Excellent full English. Some of the guests couldn't park straight,... More

Place has a hostel feel about it, Yes the furniture is chipped and held together with screws, Yes the carpets worn, but for the money it was awesome value. Spotlessly clean, cleaner than holiday inns etc I have stayed in, Great breakfast, and staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Not a place for family's or tourists but perfect for... Stayed for Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights at short notice and although having lived in High Wycombe for many years, had never stayed their. Was pleasantly surprised. An old Victorian House which has been extended to 32 Rooms. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom with Shower was the same. Free WiFi was good as was the free full English breakfast. Within easy walking... More

This hotel is fine if you are using as a stop over and wouldn't recommend for couples or families. Very old decor, small rooms that I had to open the window for in freezing January because they were so hot and a car parking nightmare if your late and the car park is full.
