2 adults and 3 children stayed in two separate rooms. Both of which were spotless clean. Breakfast was full of choice and cooked food was piping hot. No complaints whatsoever. Situated within a few minutes walk of the main high street. Lady on reception was friendly and helpful.

Booked at the last minute, needed center of town for work. When I called the staff they were really helpful. When I got there there was free parking and wifi- everything I needed. Will definitely use again- thank you

We stayed at abbey lodge while attending the CLA Gamefair. Upon arrival we were greeted with un air conditioned rooms on the very top floor of the hotel, where it was stuffy to say the least.. When we went into the rooms we discovered that there was 1 small fan and 2 broken ones that were supposed to act for... More

An utterly grotty hotel. I struck lucky and got one of the "refurbished" rooms (not sure what was done or when) and my room was actually a lot nicer than that of my colleague. In my room everything was to an acceptable level of cleanliness but it was overall very basic and lacking in comfort or useful facilities. The bed... More

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay whilst attending a party. Check in was efficient receptionist pleasant. Room a double was extremely small, more suited to a student room with a small bedroom. Room was clean and had tea & coffee although only had shower no bath. Being warm and our room being at rear of hotel we were able... More

I have stayed several times for overnight business trips. Hard to fault for this kind of accommodation. There's a 24-hour receptionist service, so no problem coming or going at odd hours. The rooms are clean, comfortable, compact but well-equipped with all the usual stuff, and the buffet-style breakfast is excellent. A nice touch is that while most things are set... More

Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting a friend. Hotel was clean and tidy. Rooms good, nothing too impressive but did the job. Had coffee making facilities etc. Very good size car park, which had plenty of spaces. Receptionist very polite and helpful. Cooked breakfast was buffet style which was good with plenty of other choices and coffee, juice etc.... More

For a what you see is what you get stop en route that provided a good base for the South east the Abbey Lodge Hotel was a good choice from an online selection offered by TripAdvisor. Although no longer in the most salubrious condition, with a vacant lot at one side, the room I had for one night was good... More
