More of a bedsit than a hotel, dirt everywhere. The communal kitchen looked like a war zone, cupboard doors hanging off and mess everywhere. It may have once been a nice establishment but the contractor guests have ruined it. Looks like a eastern European doss house.

The room was squalid, filthy and tastefully decorated with dead insects and a rat trap. Bathroom was unspeakable and the water was tepid at best. Yes, it is cheap, but frankly sleep in your car for preference.

Stayed at the contractors hotel in high wycombe for a week in a twin en-suite room. Contractors digs are never really that great, and my firm only pay a stingy hotel allowance per night so it can be difficult to get good accommodation, particularly in the south. This place is everything that you could ask for or need. The twin... More

1. The room was that small the toilet door couldn't be opened as it is stopped by the bed. 2. There were that many cobwebs I thought I was on set of an Indiana Jones movie. 3. Splatter marks on the walls in various places. 4. Mold in the toilet window. 5. A mattress so hard it felt like I... More

Very comfortable newly decorated room. All furniture and electrical appliances brand new. Staff very friendly and helpful. Building work ongoing but not a problem. I arrived early because I was driving a long wheelbase van and I was a bit apprehensive about the availability of parking places but there was room to the rear of the hotel. Fantastic value. Recommended.

We were put into a self contained flat minutes away from Wycombe centre. The flat had everything you needed including a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. was outstanding value for money. I would definitely stay again

The hotel is actually a house converted into self contained small rooms, my room was quite clean and good value for the money. My gripes are with the check in/out, parking and security, plus the area is off putting to say the least. You have to check in at 156 west Wycombe road (Buckingham hotel) park at 114 (raised parking... More

Independent budget hotels can be a bit hit and miss at times, but the Contractors Hotel is a definite hit. I have stayed in this hotel twice, and on both occasions, it has been perfect. The rooms have been clean, the beds warm and comfortable, and the room private. It is situated in a convenient part of Wycombe. The staff... More

parking was a little tough to get, although i managed to park opposite the hotel on the road. check in was fast although not overly friendly, although we managed to swap our twin room (the only one avaliable) to a double. Room was small, but very clean and modern. came with a sink and tea and coffee, which was not... More
