Me, my wife and my parents stayed here for 2 night while visiting family and it really was a home from home. The rooms were lovely and comfortable and our hosts were so welcoming. When we go back to High Wycombe we will most defiantly be looking to stay again.

I found this excellent family run B and B last minute and cancelled my previously booking with a major chain that offers room only. I needed a bed only, for my 3 nights stay and this was easily accommodated.Although not en-suite, I had mt very own shower/toilet right opposite! I would recommend and certainly stay there again if the need... More

Stayed for one night recently and despite a small mix up with the booking dates that was swiftly sorted with a free upgrade without any hesitation . Magaret is a lovely warm friendly host and this feels like a home from home. I decided to try out a local b n b after feeling fed up of the soulless chains... More

my visit to squirrel house in May 2015 was like staying with your favourite auntie. The room was clean quiet and comfortable. The private bathroom across the landing was spacious and completely adequate. Breakfast was lovely and the host charming. Off road parking was an asset. The location is out of town centre but pubs for evening meals are in... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Squirrel House which is in a good location for visiting several National Trust properties. We stayed in the ensuite room which had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The bathroom attached to the bedroom is a good size and has a very good power shower. Margaret, the owner, was friendly and seems to be... More

I stopped off here after annual holidays overseas as I was heading for Oxford before returning home to the west side of Birmingham. Trying to book with the chain hotels is a pain as well as being more costly. Margaret was an excellent host for whom nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was further enhanced as it was her... Stayed here for a night while visiting an elderly uncle who lives nearby. A lovely house, nice room with en suite bathroom, t.v., wifi. The breakfast was excellent including a delicious fresh fruit salad. Margaret was very friendly. I hope to visit again next year.

I was staying in High Wycombe for a course in Cressex business park and Squirrel house is ideally located just a five minute walk away. Margaret and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful and made sure I had a nice stay , even offering me the use of the microwave and some fridge space to keep food. There is... More

For access to the A4040 this is ideal. I was visiting High Wycombe RAF base which was about 15 mins away and this had the best reviews within a close distance that was in-budget. Comfy bed and lovely thick pillows with nice bedding and a well decorated room in a very good state of repair. Lots of spare blankets should... More

We only stayed one night. The room was comfortable and clean. Shower was great, plenty of water pressure. Breakfast was continental, good fruit bowl and selection of breads offered. Not sure if you could get a cooked breakfast, wasn't offered. Overall had a good stay and would recommend.
