Located down a single track country lane The Three Horseshoes is in a very scenic location and I was fortunate enough to be there on a spectacular morning with great views over the valley from the restaurant. Room was very comfortable even if some of the doorways upstairs are very low so watch your head! I never had dinner as... More

I booked a table for two for Monday 25th May and paid my £20 deposit online. Upon arriving at the Three Horse Shoes the location is stunning and the building and grounds itself excellent. I was surprised upon entering the restaurant that there was only one other table full. We were seated and were given the menu's by a nervous,... More

It was a nice drive down a long country road to pub which was easy to find with a sat nav, all be it a bit of a bumpy narrow road only big enough for one car. The pub area was cosy and the dining room looked nice although we didn't have time to eat. We were shown to our... More

Just stayed at the Three Horseshoes for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The inn is comfortable and welcoming with very good food and choice of wines for dinner, and lovely fresh fruit (plus "full English" of course) at breakfast. The views from the garden are outstanding, rolling Chiltern hills and lots of brilliant walks to do right outside... More

On more then one occasion, we stayed at the Three horseshoes or had dinner in the restaurant. The last time, we booked one of the garden rooms. The french doors offers great views of the surrounding hills and the pond, with a half sunk, red phone booth in the middle. Both, dinner and breakfast, are a treat for taste. The... More

Stayed here for a week, very quiet, I had a garden room with a decking overlooking the duck pond, room was clean and warm, bed comfortable. Only drawbacks, a small tv and no wifi in the room, but the views made up for both. Can't remember having such a peaceful nights sleep.

The building and location were lovely and so was the room. We stayed in the Molieres which was quite small but had loads of charm - 2 small issues were that the TVs didn't work properly (reception in and out) and the bathroom door didn't stay shut (no lock - surely a simple hook would solve this!) The restaurant food... More

Arrived at the inn at 2:50 as booking email said check in from 2pm. It was all locked up No one home! Tried ringing no luck. Came back to the inn at 9pm it was open and the staff said check in is from 2-3pm then closed until 6pm. But apart from that the room was lovely, modern and clean.... More

I have stayed at this hostelry probably 50 times on business trips over the last couple of years and it is an absolute joy compared to the soulless, characterless new hotels I used to use. I will keep going back as often as I am in the area. Quiet, delightful setting especially the annexe/garden rooms overlooking the lake. The staff... More

Having enjoyed our previous visits we booked a table recently for an evening meal with friends. The main courses were excellent - the Barbary duck breast was given top marks and the Aberdeen Angus sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and described by one of the party as one of the best ever. That said the fat chips served with... More
