This small hotel is nestled in a quiet little village and very convenient for anyone needing access to Halton RAF camp which is a couple of miles away - My room was spotlessly clean - possibly just been refurbished - totally adequate for my one night stay - lots of car parking space and though it was on a main... This is a nice hotel adjoining a nice restaurant both very reasonably priced. The room was clean and tidy and quiet even though I slept with the windows open all night I had a good sound sleep. I would certainly return here.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights from 08.05.14 to 11.05.14. Good points - The rooms were clean . The bathroom was clean if somewhat compact. We ate in the pub one evening - food and service excellent. Not so good points - tables and menus very sticky and dirty - we asked for the table to be... More

I have stayed here twice now and I returned for the nice clean rooms, free parking and good quality evening menu. The building is lovely inside, with original features. The downstairs rooms are next to a vibrating machine, but did not disturb my sleep. The breakfast lets the place down, the only hot option is DIY toast. No croissants or... More

My husband and i and our families often eat here and it's one of our favourite restaurants, we rarely have complaints and nothing that isn't put right straight away. However, there is a lady who works there, a very big tall lady, i think she is a manager, who constantly comes to your table and chats. She normally chats about... More

Great place to stay for graduations from RAF Halton. Can't really fault our stay at this lovely country village hotel/ pub. Staff really friendly and attentive to your needs. Food in restaurant great quality, and continental breakfast more than enough with plenty to choose from, highly recommend.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you're looking for a hotel with character near Tring and the Chiltern Hills, this charming 19th century lodge, nestled in the ancient Aylesbury village of Weston Turville, is a great place to stay.In the 1800s, local farmers tethered their horses to the fence of the pub while they popped inside for a drink. Back then there was barely enough room for four tables. These days, guests can enjoy much more spacious surroundings, which combine all the rustic charms of the original old English inn together with plenty of 21st century comforts.Upstairs there are 16 modern rooms while the pub, among the cosiest around, is the perfect spot to enjoy a few heart-warming drinks and some fresh, seasonally inspired food. You'll find the village near Aston Clinton and Aylesbury, just down the road from the renaissance-style splendour of Waddesdon Manor. Nearby, you can venture into the hills along the famous Icknield Way or relive the glories of the age of steam at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. ... more   less
