My family and friends really enjoyed the stay over the weekend of 6/7th November for a birthday treat. The rooms were excellent, large, comfortable & refurbished. We had a sit down meal Saturday and also bar snacks. All food was very good. No complaints. Staff were very obliging. Location was quiet. Full use of facilities at Country Club, swimming ,sauna... more

This hotel was not glamourous but was perfectly welcoming and charming. I really enjoyed my stay here. I could not fault the staff, their hospitality was above average. The location was ideal for what we wanted. A short taxi journey from Bristol centre. more

Having read the somewhat mixed reviews on here AFTER booking for a party of eleven adults and three under 7's, I have to say that I am not sure if the people who didn't like the hotel were actually here! We all arrived in Friday night, some of us in time to watch the superb FREE firework display at the... more

Place isn't clean at all there were dead flies in the light shades and carpets and furnishings have all seen better days. Meals are extremely expensive for what you get and then on top of that they want a further £15.95 per person for breakfast!!! Ludicrous! Definitely wouldn't want to stay here again. more

Well, the staff tried hard, but the wedding party on the Saturday night which returned in drunken ones and twos to their rooms till 4.00am, and all past our room, trashed all their hard work. It also took 4 days till a full breakfast service was laid out - obviously there's a problem getting more than a packet of cornflakes... more

Well, where does one start. OK, this is one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in (in the top 3 (you really do not want to know about the other two, though one was subsequently demolished)) and I am in hotels most weeks of the year. Probably best if I summarise in point form. Carpets in corridor... more

I have read really mixed reviews of this Hotel and I have to say, I am confused! Maybe the Hotel is currently undergoing a major refit and this may explain why some people are not as happy as me. Reception area leading to the Bar is extremely welcoming, stayed in Room 104 on the ground floor and I can report... more

The hotel was by no means perfect but we had a really enjoyable time at the hotel over the bank holiday weekend. Even before the stay all my queries were answered efficiently and professionally. Adam and Harry were lovely during the stat and nothing was too much trouble for them even at 2am after we had got through a few... more
