Ok so we got a 2 for 1 deal so our stay only cost us £77 for 2 nights. I would not have paid £77 a night for an Express Holiday Inn so you're mad if you do. We requested a quiet room not near the noisy part of the hotel and that's exactly what we got, room 350 was... more

The room was clean enough, check-in was quick as usual. The Pub in the car park was rammed, so there was no chance of eating there. TV is something out of the early 90's, not what I expected, with fuzzy channels. Breakfast was complimentary, which was good, because I wouldn't have been happy paying for it! But the highlight of... more

HIE is not the place to be if you are looking for a comfy, stylish room. It is functional and basic. The public areas are fine and clean (the room is clean as well). What I don't like in this hotel: - pillows: flat and hard - small TV: which didn't work the second night and morning - expensive Internet:... more

Standard clean but sterile hotel, focusing on the business traveller there for a short stay. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain too much about either. Walking distance with light luggage from Filton Railway Station. Decent pub/grub next door. My only criticism is that the breakfast is so poor you pay for a room only and get a... more

I have stayed here many times on business and seen the prices rise to extortionate levels due to its proximity to the nearby MOD offices. £128 per night is ridiculous for a provincial Holiday Inn Express, but this is compounded by the dreadful service at the breakfast buffet: breakfast bowls flecked with remains of previous days' cereal, stained cutlery and... more

I don't want to complain but this Holiday Inn Express simply isn't the same standards as in the US. I came in expecting a typical Holiday Inn Express stay, based on my previous experiences and the pictures online, and was disappointed to find a room that reminded me of IKEA and their examples of how to fit furniture in a... more

The room was perfect. Everything clean and in working order. The breakfast was good to me - just breads, cereals, drinks, yogurt and fruits. (I don't care for greasy sausage and eggs anyway). One problem we had was with other guest smoking marijuana on our non-smoking floor and stinking up our room. I notified the front desk and nothing was... more

I stay here quite frequently for business, and in my opinion it is a very good example of how a Holiday Inn Express should be Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the staff are always friendly and helpful. This hotel has recently undergone some renovations, which have improved the look of the interior The only downside for me is the price,... more

I stayed here for 2 nights. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Staff at reception were helpful. The only criticism would be the variety of food at breakfast which was poor in comparision to other hotels in the same chain. more

We were booked for a three night stay, with an average room price of £83 and had considered this hotel to be a 'one up' on a Premier Travel Inn. On arrival, we found that one of our pillow cases was stained and obviously had not been changed since the previous occupant, so I telephoned reception who said they would... more
