I stayed at this hotel yesterday evening (Sunday 27th July) and have done so on many other occasions. I have stayed in the standard, superior and suite accommodation and dined in the restaurant on every occasion. Not once have I found anything to be wanting. Whenever I am in Bristol I would not dream of staying anywhere else. I have... More

My wife and I visited the Hotel Du Vin from Friday 25th July celebrating our 31st Wedding anniversary, until leaving on Monday morning 28th July. The first challenge was parking but unbelievably we found one of the free parking spots owned by the hotel outside the front door which when considering the parking charges around the area was a real... Ended up staying here one night with our 2 kids, after our camper van broke down. Arrived, broken, after being in a breakdown truck for 2 hours. The manager was amazing, he went above and beyond to help take the stress of the situation away. Thank you so much. Wonderful service, a credit to the company.

My first stay and it was a pleasant one. I didn't have a chance to try the Bistro as only stayed for one night and was eating at a friend's. However the menu looked interesting. My only reservation was the room was on the third floor, the top floor, and had one side reduced in height due to the rafters. This... More

Located conveniently for both shopping and nightlife in a quaint bulding on a cobbled street with pretty courtyard. Room had typical HDV layout (large bathroom with roll top bath and huge rain forest shower behind). Comfortable bed but very low and trendy. Maybe good idea to pre warn them if you have physical difficulties. Good facilities including free safe and... More

We found this hotel conveniently situated, in an interesting building with outdoor and indoor seating areas for eating and drinking. The bed was firm and comfortable, the bathroom dimly lit but with an excellent shower, and the breakfast offered a good choice. But the room we were in, which had a sloping ceiling and wall was over furnished. This meant... More

We have stayed at most of the HDV and this is definitely our favourite. So full of character and charm and could not be closer to the shops. We usually stay in a suite but as we were staying only one night we decided to risk the standard rooms even declining a much reduced upgrade and turns out no risk... More

We will definitely be back to this charming hotel. A converted sugar warehouse oozing charm and comfort. We had a quiet room round the side with no view but that suited us because we just wanted to sleep not hang out there. The location is great for walking around town or up to the university. Plenty of public lounge room,... More
