We stayed there for one night on our way to Glastonbury. The rooms are excellent with plenty of individual character. The beds were soooooo comfortable and the shower was great. The staff were very helpful and more than accomodating. They allowed us to store some of our bags until we returned from the festival - this was much appreciated and... more

Stayed here in the Rosemount room, overall good accomodation apart from the aroma of stale urine in the bathroom, possibly related to the cracks in the tiled floor around the toilet pan.Parking is no longer possible in the car park only a few spaces availabled for residents. This place, particulary pre smoking ban had a great atmosphere in the bar and was... more

We booked ourselves in for one night only as we were heading to a wedding in Wales the following day. We chose Hotel du Vin as we knew what they pride themselves on. On arrival we were disappointed by the location but the building itself has been converted well and looked inviting. The reception team were efficient but not overly... more

We enjoyed a really good night at the HDV: we had a large double room overlooking the courtyard and we must have been lucky because there was no wedding or function to disturb us> the bed was huge< comfortable chairs and magazines< monsoon shower and really good toiletries> We especially appreciated the note inviting us to take the pots of... more

A short note of warning before I begin. In theory, HdV have a good website, but in practice there seems little point in using the "additional comments" box to request anything at all, let alone a table for supper, as it seems to be overlooked. If you want a table in the restaurant, call to book direct, otherwise you may... more

We made a telephone booking based on the room rates on the Hotel du Vin website: the reality according to the Hotel staff was those rates did not apply at Bristol despite the webpage seeming to state they did. One day before our arrival date we phoned to confirm and also book dinner only to be told the restaurant was... more

This is a beautiful hotel in central Bristol. It is ful of atmoshphere and the rooms are very stylish with exceptional bathrooms - freestanding baths and monsoon showers. Ours was a bit small but this is an old building so room sizes vary. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Parking is charged for. There was a trendy crowd there (St Valentine's... more

I stayed here in October 2008 - you need money to stay here or at least an expense account, but it is an excellent hotel. the rooms are lovely, the bathrooms even nicer and the walk in shower after a night drinking lots of red wine was most welcome! The food and wine were excellent as to be expected. The... more

We stayed here in one of the larger suites back in october and have to say to this date is probably the nicest room we have ever had. The bed was huge and my girlfriend counted two and a half rolls to get across. The bathroom was equally stunning with a lovely roll top bath and amazing rain shower in... more

As with the Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells this is a wonderful place. Having stayed in a number of hotels in Bristol on business this is a little more money but it really is worth it. Love the rooms, LOVE the bathrooms.. great bar and restaurant. Slightly less poncy than the one in T Wells, which isnt a bad thing.... more
