Watch out, all is not as it seems. Initial welcome over friendly, as in asking for hugs and to go for a coffee. Then you get zapped by very angry reception later. Very weird. A dark version of Faulty Towers. Can't get the bookings right. If you leave a message regarding bookings it is not recorded accurately and not passed... More

I have stayed here before about 3 times in last 18 months - I get here when the usual suspects are unavailable (Avon Gorge or Novotel). It's "ok" but some rooms are a bit basic in today's standards. My shower was against a sloping ceiling which meant it's highest point was circa 1 metre !! Comfy enough and friendly staff... More

Please don't stay here, if anything breaks through normal usage you will probably be charged even if you did nothing wrong. An otherwise good hotel experience and weekend break was unfortunately ruined. The short story: I lifted up a toilet seat in the traditional way, it broke, and the hotel considers this grounds to charge me for it. The full... More

Very friendly & helpful staff. New'll refurbished so room was good standard. No bath which wife was disappointed with but shower was powerful. Great location and family had 3 other rooms all with similar reviews. Struggled to park.

I chose this hotel because it was roughly half way between the places I needed to be i.e. Bristol Zoo/Clifton suspension bridge and the city centre. It is also well-located for many nice bars and restaurants. The young man on reception was professional and welcoming. I found my first floor single room to be comfortable, although the stairs were quite... More

I recently stayed at The Regency while on business. The first 'issue' was the parking. Sadly there is no parking at this hotel and is one of the things that would stop me staying here again. The road is so busy and to be honest, I think it was a small miracle I found a space! When I arrived at... More

Stayed for one night, when the standard hotels used in Bristol were full due to an international event. Let me give you the good and the bad, which has left me seriously concerned. The receptionist was friendly but the welcome process was hardly encouraging of a good stay. After having completed a typical guest form, it as then turned over... More

My mother and i stayed for 1 night as we had booked to see Shrek . On arrival the young man who greeted us was polite but our room wasn't ready to my disappointment as I'd requested an early check in . But this wasn't a massive problem so off we went to our show , with directions off of... More

Despite booking via a lovely receptionist the welcome we had when we arrived , we believe from the Manager, was frosty. No advice, maps or welcome greeting. Just payment. We were also asked for payment or checking for our payment 3 times after that. Stairs are very narrow if you issues with mobility and there is no lift. The next... More
