I chose this hotel because it was roughly half way between the places I needed to be i.e. Bristol Zoo/Clifton suspension bridge and the city centre. It is also well-located for many nice bars and restaurants. The young man on reception was professional and welcoming. I found my first floor single room to be comfortable, although the stairs were quite... More

I recently stayed at The Regency while on business. The first 'issue' was the parking. Sadly there is no parking at this hotel and is one of the things that would stop me staying here again. The road is so busy and to be honest, I think it was a small miracle I found a space! When I arrived at... More

Stayed for one night, when the standard hotels used in Bristol were full due to an international event. Let me give you the good and the bad, which has left me seriously concerned. The receptionist was friendly but the welcome process was hardly encouraging of a good stay. After having completed a typical guest form, it as then turned over... More

My mother and i stayed for 1 night as we had booked to see Shrek . On arrival the young man who greeted us was polite but our room wasn't ready to my disappointment as I'd requested an early check in . But this wasn't a massive problem so off we went to our show , with directions off of... More

Despite booking via a lovely receptionist the welcome we had when we arrived , we believe from the Manager, was frosty. No advice, maps or welcome greeting. Just payment. We were also asked for payment or checking for our payment 3 times after that. Stairs are very narrow if you issues with mobility and there is no lift. The next... More

My partner had to attend Bristol Hospital which meant we had to stay for one night locally and could not have chosen a more hospitable hotel. Although not fancy, the real assets this place has is the staff. From the moment we arrived, from the front desk to the owner, bar staff and the manager herself they could see she... More

Firstly we had to fill in a form in the shoddy reception when all we wanted to do was drop our bags after a long day. We then got advised if we lost our key we'd get charged £5. We then had to find our way up all the endless flights of stairs to the very top, without assistance. Entering... More

Great little hotel with the friendliest staff around. Utterly accommodating to me and my group of ‘hens’ who were visiting Bristol for the weekend. Lovely newly renovated rooms in a fabulous central location.

First of all, this is like a boutique hotel, so don't expect elevators or a full English breakfast with all the trimmings (only continental). However, when compared to other hotels or B&B's, the Regency Bristol Hotel is comfortable enough for the price. It has recently undergone refurbishment and is in a decent location - it is approximately a 10 minute... More
