Pros: Close location to the University and exploring Clifton. Reasonable rates. Free car park. Owner was pleasant enough and the full English was appetising. Cons: Very old fashioned, shabby, peeling woodchip wallpaper, tiny bedrooms, even smaller 'bathrooms', fittings were cheap and flimsy, floorboards creaked, doors slammed, thin walls, noisy cisterns, beds were really uncomfortable, hard foam pillows, ancient kettles and... more

Lovely location & charming building in Bristol. Compact but clean rooms with en-suite. Very helpful staff on reception. Elegant lounge. Good breakfast. Recommended to us by one of our group who had stayed there before. more

Not expecting a great deal and only staying for one night, I found the Tyndall's Park Hotel absolutely fine, I felt at ease and, though tiny, my room was decent and convenient. I also found it was quite central, staff was friendly and the breakfast choice pleasant. Unfortunately, I decided to leave my bags in the manager's care for the... more

I stayed at Tyndall's for one night, and I must confess I didn't spend much time in the hotel - as it turned out, this was a blessing. I will try my best to be balanced in this review but I think I might struggle to find good things to say. Here goes... Pros: *It's cheap. *The man on reception... more

My partner and I are currently staying at this hotel as i write this review. We are in a room that is small, but spotlessly clean and has all the facilities you come to expect of any hotel. i.e kettle, t.v. hairdryer, etc. Although I have to leave for work at 6.45 every morning for the next couple of days,... more

We paid 58£ per night for double room when other hotels in the area were charging 70£. The facilities in the hotel was good value for money except that the bathroom was below standard and needs a face lift (in particular very poor shower which is difficult to use). But we had some problems with the billing, the hotel wanted... more

Booked for a family of four - two rooms beside each other, the rooms were small, but clean and bright. The staff was accommodating with a plumbing problem in one washroom. We booked Tyndalls after finding it onlilne, because it was close to relatives we were visiting and close enough to be able to walk central Bristol. We had to... more

After looking for a lower priced hotel in the Clifton area of Bristol, I was a little apprehensive about booking this hotel with its few reviews and lack on photos on the hotel website. I have to say though, that I was really very pleasantly surprised! The hotel was very well located for Clifton and the University, and the room,... more

We have just returned from a one night stay at the Tyndall's park hotel. As the previous reviewer has already said, the hotel is certainly in need of a revamp. The carpet is old and worn especially on the stair's.The lounge furniture is also very tired,I sunk so low into the sofa I might as well have been sitting on the floor!!.The... more
