Small, comfortable room fully stocked. Friendly staff and very comprehensive breakfast. Central for exploring Bristol on foot - suspension bridge, clifton village, city centre, harbour, creative area - free parking on site which is not to be sniffed at in Bristol!! Had three nights here in a road -facing room which was fine and the sash windows worked properly

The hotel is a refurbished (very large) Victorian villa, in a neighbourhood that must once have housed Bristolian doctors and bankers; now the villas are either University departments or, more shabbily, student flats. The hotel lobby is fine, with a charming feel to it; but the room I was in was cramped, with a very awkwardly modernised en-suite. Try for... More

had a lovely two nights here. Dont be put off by the exterior, (It is a period building) The inside is very nice. We had room F, which was massive and looked like it had recently been refurbished. The staff were very helpful. had lovely freshly cooked breakfasts.

The location of the b&b was great. A ten minute (steep!) walk to and from the city in a quiet area. There are lots of restaurants around Clifton itself if you don't fancy the trek into town. The beds were comfy, the room was clean and the shower was fantastic! They also allow you to leave your car until 1... More

Nice, great location, clean but could be cleaner (dust behind bed, marks/dirt up walls - need a good sponge down!), comfortable (unless you are a light sleeper and unfortunate enough to be in a room next to a heavy snoorer) and a little over priced. As another reviewer commented, this is a basic B&B - adding purple walls and the... More

Our party of three stayed in 2 rooms for one night; pleasantly surprised that the single was upgraded to a double without it being requested. Parking was always available even when returning after evening theatre performance but not sure how full hotel was at the time. Reception was professional, being friendly and impressively rapid. The rooms were reasonably sized with... More

Stayed here for one night. Room very comfortable - all necessary amenities and bed significantly more comfortable than many hotels, including the big high star chains. Breakfast was very good indeed considering the size of the establishment and the price; fruit, cereal, cheeses, juices, teas and coffee, plus cooked English or other choices. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location and... More

High ceilings with an impressive staircase. Great rooms and food. Easy walking distance to the local restaurants. Really worth the visit. Ample parking. Good value, considering its location (next to the BBC studios)

Very disappointed with our accommodation. There are a few big mirrors and purple chairs to try to make this establishment "boutique" but that was it. I would class this as no more than a basic B&B. Bathroom was so small as was the shower with horrendous plumbing noises. The smell in the bathroom was definitely unpleasant and the room smelt... More
