We stayed one night in the Clifton House on our way to a wedding. The hotel is very nicely decorated, clean & the staff extremely helpful & friendly. Easy to follow maps were available to find your way into Clifton Village or other attractions in the area. We had a standard double ensuite on the second floor which was adequate... More

Friendly welcome, the room was smart and cheery although a bit cramped. A great selection at breakfast in a light dining room. Also parking is included which is a premium in Bristol Would definitely return

We stayed here for two nights. The room, on the first floor, was a triple and the bed for the third person made it a litttle tight for room but the furnishings were very good and the bed was comfortable. Sleep quality is excellent. Nice and quiet. Bathroom was very modern with good facilities and fittings. Breakfast was a good... More

My mother and I recently had a most enjoyable eight night stay and felt very at home here. It is a lovely Victorian villa on a very quiet street close to some of the university buildings. We had a superior twin room, which was huge, with a sofa and wall-mounted TV – nice for relaxing at the end of the... More

Stayed for one night with my family, using 2 doubles and a single. Clifton House is in a great location only minutes from the university and a little further to the city centre. Its free parking and wifi throughout are a boon too. The building itself is very attractive and well maintained, whilst the rooms are clean and comfortable with... More

Nice neighborhood location within short walking distance of restaurants and longer walking (or driving, for those who prefer) distance of Clifton Village, Clifton Suspension Bridge, Zoo, and Cabot Tower. Free parking behind B&B (rare for Clifton and Bristol). Breakfast buffet items include yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants, cheese, cereal, juice, tea, coffee and the ability to order (without charge) a full... More

I stayed here for two nights last week and I can honestly say I have only high praise. The room was lovely, clean and modern with a hint of its old past shining through. The property was ideally located close to the college and museum quarter and was within walking distance to the bus station and any other locations around... More

Small, comfortable room fully stocked. Friendly staff and very comprehensive breakfast. Central for exploring Bristol on foot - suspension bridge, clifton village, city centre, harbour, creative area - free parking on site which is not to be sniffed at in Bristol!! Had three nights here in a road -facing room which was fine and the sash windows worked properly

The hotel is a refurbished (very large) Victorian villa, in a neighbourhood that must once have housed Bristolian doctors and bankers; now the villas are either University departments or, more shabbily, student flats. The hotel lobby is fine, with a charming feel to it; but the room I was in was cramped, with a very awkwardly modernised en-suite. Try for... More
