This place is a cheap backpackers hostel. As such, it works well. I stayed for two nights, in an upper bunk in a top floor dorm. There were a lot of stairs and a ladder, which was fine for me but is not for everyone. The other 5 people in my dorm were quiet and sensible (and sober). Luggage lay... More

If you want a nights sleep in a solid bed, a hot shower, access to a well equiped kitchen in the company of a very internationaly diverse crowd this is the place. A few corners could do with a scrub but apart from that the showers, toilets and kitchen are well maintained. A good library of books, TV and wifi... More

Stayed her for 3 nights. Rude staff, not all but some. You get in trouble for the stupidest things. It's made for older chilling people. I don't recommend for younger partying people. Most people here speak Spanish and unless you can you speak it also you feel left out. Not a social hostel. :)

Just been there a week, and I really liked it. Great placer to meet people from all the world, cheap and next to everything. Really recommend it for short term staying, for backpackers or for anyone Who needs a place to stay and look for a flat, it's really a good place full of great people.

A colleague and myself stayed here whilst on a course locally and we got what we asked for with no attractive extras or even a bit more extra room! the receptionist was very accommodating and it seemed that if i was there slightly longer, I would of got to experience what seams to be a great atmosphere. it was only... My partner and I spent two months in the hostel while we were looking both for a job and a flat. The overall sensation about the hostel is great. We stayed in the second floor in a six-bedroom room. The other people in the room were quite nice and very respectful as well. Everything was cleaned in a daily basis... More

A lot of people coming to Bristol for work tend to end up here which makes it more of a communion rather than a backpackers as people stay for the long haul rather than a few nights. it can get frustrating with large groups but most people tend to know when you want to be left alone and will normally... We stayed here for around 3 weeks after our flatting situation turned sour. We spent all but 3 nights in a private room. The room was really small, but it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had a radiator to cancel out the slightly draughty window. For a private room you can get a key for £10 refundable... I loved this hostel, is so big and so British. They have room for everything, tv room, lounge room, full kitchen, and a bar at the basement! The beds are really spaced and comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpfully. Also the door is controlled at the entrance of people strange to the hostel, so they give you a... More
