We were looking for a venue which would accommodate 26 members of our family, travelling from the North, Midlands, London and Wales to celebrate our parents' 'Diamond Wedding'. Alveston House is ideally located and Trip Advisor reviews were invaluable in our selection. We visited Alveston House, along with other hotels, to ensure we would be making the right choice for... more

As Australia travellers we found the the staff very friendly and supportive when we came across the Alverston on our way south from Scotland. It was a pleasure to deal with the young staff both in the restaurant and in reception on arrival. Well done everyone and thank you for a great stop over more

Six of us attended the Alveston’s New Years Eve Gala Dinner which was part of their one night Celebration Package. We can honestly say that we could not fault this hotel in any way whatsoever. The staff were superb and could not do enough for us. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well designed. The food was excellent and plentiful... more

Very convenient location for Bristol and surrounding area, without being city-fied. It was perfect for me as I had conference in Bristol Fri and Monday, so wanted a quiet place to 'lie low' and relax over the weekend, somethwre that didn't feel like all the other hotels that I have to stay in when working. So this was lovely -... more

My wife and I and one of our children stayed for a weekend break as a base for visiting Bath and Bristol. Having read the reviews on Trip advisor I was comfortable with my decision to book. The Hotel did not disappoint - the reception was very friendly and welcoming and took us to our room which was perfectly neat... more

Found by chance and we found the level of service and attention from the many staff memorable. Clean and comfortable room and a first class dinner added to our stay. To find such a delight is rare and it is just a shame that we live so far away. Our next visit to Cribbs Causeway will have to allow another... more

Just spent the weekend at this delightful hotel. On arrival on Friday evening we were immediately impressed by the welcome we received. Our room was large, airy and very tastefully decorated as well as being spotlessly clean. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant on our first evening and it did not dissapoint. The food was of a very... more

This hotel was booked by my office and I expected the usual tired, worn business hotel with uncaring, indifferent staff and equally indifferent food. How wrong could I be!! This is an excellent hotel, the room I stayed in was clean, had a very comfortable bed and was equipped with TV and all the usual extras, tea coffee etc. No... more

I stayed here initially for one week, but liked it so much that I extended my stay to 10 nights! Lovely comfortable bed, nice quiet room (no traffic noise despite close to main road). Fantastic food both for breakfast and evening meals. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. I didn't want to leave!! It's a perfect location... more

As a regular business traveller who travels thousands of miles in the UK each year I'm so tired of the corporate look and feel, the false smiles, the grim, greasy pub type bar snacks. The Alveston House is an oasis in a sea of mediocity. Each room is looks like you're the first person to stay in it ever. The... more
