I stayed there on a trip with my dad this summer. We stayed in I think, room 3 (in the basement) We had large luggage and we had to drag them down two sets of stairs. We got in the room to find that almost everything was painted white and it had a very basement-like feel. There was a window,... more

This is a small budget hotel. I found it very fairly priced and got excellent value for relatively little money. At £56 a night in a good location, I was not entirely surprised to find that the building had some issues. It's not purpose built and has narrow staircases, and limited sound proofing might be troublesome if you get people... more

I stayed four nights in a compact, but reasonably comfortable single room on the first floor. Bathroom was a good size, with tub/shower. Room faced the back and was quiet. Friendly and helpful front desk. Cooked breakfasts were quite good. Location in Clifton is a fair hike to the city centre. I used the train to Clifton Down from Temple... more

Nice Hotel in a great location in Bristol, really close to both whiteladies road and park street. I bit further away from cabot circus shops but easy to get to on the bus! Clean room, small but perfectly formed. Good friendly service more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the halloween weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic - we wandered into Clifton village, and it's also just a short walk from the shops/bars on Whiteladies Road and Park Street. The staff were fantastic - we had problems with our car and the receptionist was brilliant... more

Very well located in Clifton, close to bars and restaurants etc. Staff all friendly and helpful, did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Our room showed some signs of wear but was clean and comfortable. Tip: bring your own toiletries. more

First of all some history. I travel with my job and stay away in excess of 150 nights a year. I have been traveling for over 10 years and have never felt the need to put a global review out before......until now....... We had viewed the hotels website and liked the 'boutique hotel' feel that was described and illustrated. The... more

£63 B & B on a Sat night with an extra £6 for parking. Stayed in Room 11, which is next to reception, faces the road, and is just outside the door to upstairs, so not the best location if you are a light sleeper. There was a stag party in the hotel and they were outside under the awning... more

Booked in and booked out. Hotel quite shabby. The hotel is right next to the main road and noisy. But some rooms are smoking rooms! And do they stink. I was not made aware of this when I booked the room for two nights. The very pleasant receptionist (not being sarcastic she was) offered me an alternative room for my... more

I would, firstly, like to say how sorry I am that we did not meet the expectations of the reviewer. I would, however, like to clarify a few points regarding our smoking rooms. We do have a very limited number of smoking rooms available at the hotel. The vast majority of our rooms are non-smoking, however, and we aim to...

I wanted to get out of London for the weekend and go to discover another city. Bristol became my destination of choice. After searching around I found this. I wanted a budget break and couldn't believe how cheap this place was! Admittedly I was a little worried about the standard as the rate was SO low but the staff were... more
