I stayed here two years ago for 7 weeks when I first moved to Bristol. Wendy and Francois, the owners, were hospitable and flexible, not charging extra after my sons came to stay and I stayed on a few days in a triple room (for single room rate). Also, although breakfast officially started at 7.00, if you let them know... More

Hotel/B&B close to the Cheltenham Rd, Bristol. Peaceful place, close to a lively student area. Very welcoming owners. Décor and fittings slightly frayed. Not all bedrooms have en-suite facilities and so have to share 2 toilets, one with a shower. The shower could be a lot better.

Really well located (only a couple of miles from the harbour), great price and lovely staff. A little bit worse for wear in places but very clean, quiet and a comfy bed. We'll definitely stay next time we're in town.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Comfortable room. Very welcoming owners. Great location. No air conditioning in the property but a fan was provided and our room was rather fresh as a result. On the 'con' side a lamp bulb on the top of our sink burned and when we requested a replacement the owner told us that it would not... More

My stay at this B&B was wonderful, price was really cheap considering the location, just off the main road full of shops, bars and restaurants, the welcome from the manager was so lovely, warm and friendly, the room was fine for the price, bed very comfortable and en-suite good. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and overall just a brilliant... More

The Arches is situated near the shore, restaurants aplenty, short walking distance to places of interest. Staff are very vriendly, rooms comfortable and clean, we were a group of 17 attending a wedding and this was our 2 night stop over in order to buy appropriate wedding gear, no one had any problems with is hotel

I stopped at Arches House on 22 October 2014 on my own in an en-suite twin room. They didn't have a single room but only charged me the single room rate. My room was on the ground floor and i didn't experience any disturbance. That said you can here everything that goes on outside the room so i suggest ear... More

This is a nice and basic, but clean hotel we stayed in for one night. I enjoyed the availability of Twining's Tea in the bedrooms (green and white). The croissants in the morning were nice, and vegan options were available.

Well located away from the bustle of Bristol, it's a small private hotel run by friendly owners Francois and Wendy. We had room 3 which was not en-suite but 2 loos and shower room over the corridor, so no problem. It's quite basic, a typical English hotel well situated in the North of the City in a nice old building.... More

Whenever I return to Bristol, I choose this hotel for my stay. I have to book it weeks before my trip, and I know that in summer they are full. I like the small garden in front of the main door, well – it is not so tiny for a town but I am somewhat used for larger spaces. The... More
