We stayed for one night and, out of interest, later looked at the Trip Advisor reviews of others. We were amazed to read so much negativity. We were very satisfied. The room (35) was clean, spacious and very well equipped (iron, tea/coffee, toiletries, TV etc.) and the breakfast was excellent. For £60 for a double room, the value was superb.... More

The hotel looks more like a motel, and is in need of refurbishment. The front car park only holds a few cars because the hotel seems to have a long-stay airport carpark scheme, meaning guests of the actual hotel sometimes have to park round the back of the main building which didn't feel very safe. We had a room on... More

We booked an overnight stay as our plane landed late and we faced over an hour's drive home. We had a friendly and efficient check in and our ground floor room faced well away from the road, so we were able to have a window open on a warm night.. The room , if not ultra modern, was very large... More

Firstly thank you to all staff for a warm welcoming stay. We stumbled across the town and country lodge whilst looking for an over night stay and car parking before and during our holiday abroad. Staff, rooms, food and a very warm welcome. Car park safe will use the town and country lodge again and would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Our family stayed here for one night in July 2014, as a friend was getting married across the road. First impressions, ah, we seem to be staying in a 1970s motel. The room was a good size, perfectly clean, but had that musky smell of a room past its sell-by date. The bathroom wasn't ventilated, and had mould on the... More

I stayed with a friend 11th-14th July. Our room was basic but everything was there including plenty of tea, coffee and milk (unusual as in some places it is limited.) Each day the room was cleaned well with plenty of towels. But I really wanted to write a review because the breakfast room staff were cheerful, pleasant, polite and efficient; nothing... More

Stayed for 2 nights in June 2014. Clean and comfy room. Was a bit apprehensive having read some of the trip advisor comments which turned out to be wholly unjustified . Couldn't fault it. Good was excellent too. Thankyou

Stayed here after flying back from Egypt on Sunday 15th June . Arrived at the lodge at 3:30 am and was met by an unorganised chap . Pointed out directions to our room. Opened the door and was greeted by a smell of must ! . Carpets was stained to high heaven . Sheets was marked . Bathroom had 2... More
