Very pleasant small pub / inn accomodation in a quiet location. Excellent breakfast to start the day. Olde worlde beams in bar / restaurant and room. Room only had a shower but for a couple of nights that was fine.

Had been to The Bowl many times before but never again after Saturday evening 4.5.13 When we arrived, the bar was covered in dirty glasses and debris. There was only one person behind the bar so we waited for some time to be shown to our booked table. We spent some time sandwiched between 2 families with very noisy children... More

We visited the Bowl Inn in April and had such a nice meal we came back for our sons' birthday. All of our meals were delicious and beautifully cooked at a fair reasonable price. The service was excellent and we were served by a very friendly knowledgeable waitress. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

Haven't been here for years, chose it now as it was a handy meeting place for us to meet up with old friends. Word of warning...the Car park opposite the pub is a pay and display 24/7, £1 for 3 hours so don't forget to pay up. Very rustic inside, tables everywhere, if there is a restaurant area it would... Piping hot fish and chips. - outstanding !!!!! Very nice bar lady - friendly and chatty. Polite waitress. Couldn't have done more for us. Going again very soon. Lovely old country pub off the beaton track. Worth travelling to the end of the earth for.

We have been here many times in the past as a couple but also in larger christmas parties through work. Each time we have had great food and there is a large selection of local ales, wines etc. A very pleasant pub with loads of charm and ye olde character. Have also stayed here three times over the years for... More

We visited the Bowl Inn as a surprise treat for Mother's Day booked by my daughters. What a hidden gem this place is! The food was excellent, home cooked and plentiful. This was very much appreciated as myself, my daughters and remaining five guests were 'recovering' from a two night hen party stay for my eldest daughter in Bristol. The... More

We stayed here for one night as a stopover, as the Bowl Inn is conveniently located not too far off the motorway. Arriving in the evening we decided to have dinner there – the food (we had steak) was excellent, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Our room was very nice and clean, and the full English breakfast was delicious.... More

We arrived on the Friday evening for a weekend to go to an assembly in Bristol. That night, was great! Lovely room for us and our 2 children. For brealkfast and dinner, the hosts bent over backwards to accomodate our wanting to eat early so that we can get to our assembly on time. The only issues we had was... More
