This was a lovely hotel that really made me feel safe. I was staying alone because my husband was in the Spire Hospital just down the road. It was within walking distance which made it nice and convenient for me. The room was excellent and well maintained, the bedding lovely and crisp. Breakfast was also very good and served nicely... Lovely location, nice room with great views but a few problems... It is really, really hard to park near the hotel even to get dropped off. If you are driving to Bristol and have a significant amount of luggage I would suggest looking elsewhere. Service was very polite and friendly but they forgot us to give us internet password on... Stayed here for two nights 25/06 and 26/06. This place is brilliant. Situated overlooking the Downs to the front and a view of most of Bristol to the rear. Our room was great. Lovely décor. Everything you need for a short stay. I would say there is a lack of "storage" if you stay longer than we did. The terrace... More

We stayed in a suite on the top floor and couldn't fault it. The room was beautiful - possibly best we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in some!). The views of Bristol from the room were fantastic, as was the copper bath and huge bed. The breakfast was fantastic, served by very attentive staff in a lovely... More

Very warm welcome by a young lady who escorted us to the West Loft room. Room nice and large with good quality furniture. One draw back the mirror and light above the basin is too high for most ladies. Could also do with a shelf at that end of the room for make-up and ladies toiletries. The breakfast was to... More

...and go for one of the Loft Suites. Huge room, enormously comfortable bed, absolutely gigantic bath (go on, you've both gotta jump in) and utterly splendid views on both sides - the Downs and the Bristol roof tops. The stairs are a wee bit steep so tread carefully with your bags.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night so we could go to an event the next day just outside of Bristol. The car parking was a real pain as it is on road parking and that road is very busy and it was hard to find a place to park. When we finally did find a place to... More

What a superb little boutique hotel/B&B. Excellent views across the city. We were upgraded to a room with a view and next time (and I will stay here again on business in Bristol) I will make sure I book one. The views across Bristol were *stunning*. Excellent service from everyone and the breakfast was the best B&B breakfast I have... More

We spent two nights at this place, and were really happy with the level of comfort and service we got. The room was large enough, and well equipped. We enjoyed our breakfasts in the room, withe the bow window offering great views of the downs. The location is perfect, close to bus stations, and right above the Clifton area.
