My husband and I stayed in the Mercure Brigstow one Saturday evening in November. Parking was very convenient in an adjoining public car park. The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable .. nothing spectacular. Location is excellent for the town centre. We had a room overlooking the river which was pleasant and overall pretty quiet.... more

We stayed here for one night on our way down to Cornwall, taking the dinner B&B option. Couldn't be happier, super views, nice quiet room, and great food both at dinner at at breakfast. Service was also to be commended! more

This is the second occasion that i have stayed at the Brigstow, one of a number of hotels in Bristol that i have stayed in over the past few years, and although not the best hotel it is probably the best situated of them all. I booked online via the accor website and took advantage of the offer of dinner... more

In reponse to similar comments about our restaurant menu, we launched a new a la carte menu on 26th October which we trust will be more to our guests' liking. Starters include pan seared scallops with chorizo and miniature lambs liver & onions with bubble and squeak, mains include pan fried gilthead bream and porterhouse steak. Thanks for your comments

Dissapointed

Stayed at hotel for one night with my teenage son. For some reason all the other hotels where fully booked on this Tuesday October night. At 139.00 for a twin room with breakfast it was one of the most expensive that I had phoned. When you arrive parking is NCP and is 13.00 for 24 hrs. The car park has... more

Stayed here with a tour - we were made to feel like 2nd class citizens by restaurant staff & service was very poor - on the first night the vegetables arrived so late we had eaten our main course ,as it was getting cold. My friend who needs a gluten free diet was told it was 'too difficult' for the... more

This place was modern, clean and a great value. We got two separate room for our "quad" request. Our teens had their own room and we're safely 2 doors down the hall. It's located on a river walk in a very charming area. A full English Breakfast was included! I couldn't ask for more - just an opportunity to return! more

We stayed at the Brigstow after our original choice of hotel in Bristol wasn't finished after having booked it months in advance (The Radisson Blu). Great location on the river in the very centre of Bristol with almost everything within walking distance. Nice friendly staff with a pretty good breakfast and late evening bar. We asked for a room with... more

Rooms are standard contemporary and... more

Nice, simple hotel. A bit overpriced for what it was though. Good breakfast in the morning, came on time but was woken loudly by vacuuming outside and hitting into my door at 8.30am! Could not believe it! I have never been to a hotel that would allow such a thing. Rooms were nice and clean and bathroom was ok. Though... more
