A group of us spent a night at the mercure last saturday to celebrate my husbands birthday. Rooms are nice and modern - maybe slightly cramped but thats probably to be expected in the City Centre. Location is perfect overlooking the river and in easy walking distance of everything. Car parking at the adjacent NCP expensive - it cost £11... more

we only stayed at the hotel for a night, in a room overlooking the river- lovely view; nice interior and decor, clean, spacious bathroom with both walk-in shower and a bath (a little tv built into the tiles was rather fun); i loved the hotel's own range toiletries, i've found them superb. breakfast was nice with the cutest mini jams... more

We have stayed in this hotel several times now and I have to disagree with someone who wrote that they disliked the hotel breakfast - we thought it was very good and were impressed by the way that staff met the needs of some quite awkward guests sitting close to us. The hotel rooms are clean and fairly spacious for... more

We were on the 4th floor with a superior room and a fab view of the water. We didnt eat in the restaurant, apart from Breakfast which was absolutely delicious, lots of choice and very good service, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definately go again! more

This hotel is about a 5-10 minutes walk away from the new shopping centre which was very convienient for me and my partner. We stayed overnight on Valentines day. We booked over the internet for a superior room with queen bed and river view. Well we got the river view but i dont believe that we had a queen bed.... more

I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay but I am sorry you did not enjoy your breakfast. We appreciate that breakfast is the most important meal of the day which is why we cook everything to order - I will be discussing your comments with the Chefs on duty that particular morning.

from the first point of arrival the freindly staff welcomed us , checked us in efficiently and offered to upgrade us! The hotel is a really interesting design with rooms that are totally different to any other hotel I have stayed in. The service is very friendly and the staff really looked after us. The menu offers a good range... more

We were in Bristol for a friend's 50th birthday party at Toto's across the bridge, so this hotel was ideally situated for us. Having read some of the reviews, we were worried about what we would find, however, we shouldn't have, as everything was absolutely perfect! We arrived at around 5 on the Saturday evening and parked across the river... more

This hotel is next door to student accommodation. We upgraded to a river view which had a very nice outlook but we were disturbed all night by music played at nightclub volume coming from one of the student rooms. From the moment we went to bed to the time we checked out in the morning it was still going. The... more

I am very sorry that your stay was disturbed in this way. In over 3 years at this hotel this is the first complaint I have received of this nature. I would urge guests who are disturbed in any way to contact a member of the management team (who are here 24/7) and we will do our best to resolve...

Great little hotel, BUT you must get the river view and avoid rooms by the lift (for ref any room ending in 05 or 06.. they'll sell you on a larger balcony, but it's noisy) the river view is an extra £10, but once you look at the bins in the carpark for the student hostel behind you'll quickly find... more

I too stayed here when the pipes froze. I don't think that they planned for the pipes to freeze. We stayed here by accident as our flight to Prague from Bristol Airport was cancelled due to the weather. I enjoyed myself throughly and would recommend the hotel. I especially loved the tile vision!. more
