This is a modern hostel and does exactly what it says on the tin. Nice building in perhaps not the nicest part of Bristol, but still walkable from centre. Rooms were hot, but then they always seem to be in hotels! Breakfast did not include a full English option, but toast and cereals were good. Good for single rooms.

Good location to all amenity, walking distance to town centre, fish & chips take away, Indian take away across the road of the hotel if you are too tired to go out to town to eat. Clean bed and showers which is essential for most travellers. Good continental breakfast with good variety of juice, fruits, cereal, soya milk for vegetarian... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that is provided is nice with a good variety. The room I stayed in was presented well and was just what you would needed, with a nice comfortable bed and clean bathroom. I would recommend this place and I would stay there there again.

A fairly basic B&B situated in the Bedminster area of Bristol. The B&B's slogan is "Quality Budget accommodation", which sums it very well. Budget - I paid 50 pounds for one night. My room was OK, no thrills but everything that I needed. The highlight was a surprisingly good breakfast - good variety of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, toast... More

The Malago is an excellent base for sight seeing in and around Bristol. Spotlessly clean, comfortable accommodation. Good continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Friendly staff. Would stay again when we visit Bristol next.

Lots of useful maps and info on the local area Nice bars and restaurants near by on North Street. The Spotted Cow and hen and chicken are worth a visit. Breakfast is fine. Hot rooms without a fan in... More

After a 200 mile drive and unloading a van load of furiture for my daughter's new home some refreshment and a wash and brush up were indicated. If one fancied a drink, a nice hot bath, a good nights sleep and a full English breakfast then avoid The Malago Guest House at all costs. The level of service was appalling... More

The Malago Bed and Breakfast is an ideal place to stay if you're looking for somewhere to simply stay for short. Staff were friendly, the location is OK, (it's perks being that it is in very close proximity to the bus stop and a Tesco) and the room provided enough to satisfy me for two nights - TV, kettle, mirror....
