We stayed in December in 2012, and although this is now years ago, I have only just finally joined tripadvisor, and an old email in my inbox from Mr Tavares the duty manager thanking us for completing the survey reminded me what a great place the Bristol was. . We had a really lovely stay here, it was a was... More

Couldnt fault anything at all. Parking easy. Rooms lovely. Staff helpful and very polite. The River Grille Restaurant was very enjoyable. Although my usual gripe about having to pay for some vegetables applies. Breakfast was lovely especially the porridge.

I have stayed at this hotel a year ago with my elderly mother. We had great support and a lovely room for disabled needs. This time I was visiting with my husband for three days for work. The staff are very much trained in meeting the clients needs and the standards and aspirations are great. It is nicely furnished and... More

This used to be the old Jury's Inn and what a transformation! Don't be put off by the façade which looks a bit like a 1960's office block. The entrance foyer is elegant and leads up a few stairs to the comfortable lounge/bar area with a view over the canal. It's a great place to relax. Our room was excellent... More

There seems to be a new trend in the West country to charge for a room only then add on the breakfast. The Bristol hotel has adopted this policy, obviously on the advice of the bean counters hiding away in a remote office, and I can appreciate the motive - at the end of the tax year the bottom line... Dear John H, Thank you for the great review, As head bean counter I certainly take your comments on board regarding breakfast, however have to highlight that we always offer a Breakfast inclusive option to guests booking on our website, we have no control over other websites so I cant comment on that. I also believe we offer very good... More

the hotel was easy to find, no waiting for check in which was very efficiently completed. My room was smaller than I would've liked but very well appointed. Although a double it would haven been very cramped for two, especially for a longer stay with more luggage. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I ate out with friends... More

Stayed here for a long weekend recently the hotel is in a brilliant location and is fabulous inside. The deluxe room was lovely except for poor lighting. The bed was comfortable and spotless. We had a drink in the lounge while a pianist was playing, it was very relaxing and we enjoyed it a lot. The negatives were the breakfast... More

Great short stay at the Bristol. Excellently refurbished and great staff. Very comfortable without being "stuffy". Brilliant location if you want to be in the centre of Bristol and take advantage of the great nightlife.

Lovely staff and nice hotel but you can tell it's had better years. The walls are very thin so I'd ask to be on a floor with less people possible. Excellent location though which more than makes up for any issues we had.

We had an enjoyable stay at The Bristol Hotel. Our room on the 5th floor facing the water was attractive and well maintained, the beds extremely comfortable, modern walk in shower room. You do get late night noise from the bars below but quite honestly this did not trouble us. The lounge and bar were inviting , the breakfast was... More
