It was cheap: half the cost of the YHA hostel with the advantage that there was free on street parking nearby. The bed pods were a surprise but actually much better than bunk beds. However, on the day we stayed two of the three women's showers were out of order. A more serious problem for anyone staying longer was the... More

The outside of the hostel is a bit daunting, slightly run down looking area. It's a bit of a walk from the centre, easier to get a bus. We stayed in the pod rooms which were really good, curtains with each pod with own plug and light. The public area is very basic but alright, free tea and coffee. People... More

area: bedminster, 30 mins walk from centre, bus outside, hostel appearance: aweful. it was basically a house transformed into a hostel. outside it looks like a desolate house. interior design: unacceptable. i dont know if i would like to stay in a place like this. dark, part of the ceiling had fallen, new york images on the wall (!), old,... I think I caught fleas from this place, I haven't stopped itching since. Could only tolerate one night - but paid for two. It did have heating so better than the street but perhaps the heating contributed to the bugs breeding ground. On a positive note they had free Wi Fi.

I stayed here for 4 nights and it was a good experience. The staff are really nice and the place has a more homely feel than a normal hostel. Everything was cleaned everyday and the kitchen has everything you need. The outside needs some work and it was a bit hard to find, but it was only £10 a night... More

We stayed 2 nights at this place, and its not even close to being as bad as some of the reviews here. We were greeted at reception and upgraded to a better dorm free of charge. Each bed had a light and a plug socket, and they were private and comfortable. The outside looks a bit run down but its... More

I stayed at this hostel for a whole month while working and looking for a permanent place to live and was quite satisfied - I don't think you can expect much better for the great price (I paid 280 pounds to stay in a 4 bed room for the whole 4 weeks). The kitchen has everything you need, there is... More

I stayed 7 nights & i disagree with the other reviews. First its the best deal i had in uk, really cheap. The room was ok - i was upgraded to the 4-room. Above all the bed was excellent, that is soft, even if you can feel some spring. Ive hurt my back on tatami beds in london, oxford, bath... More

Finding the way to the hostel was not very difficult, but we almost missed the actual hostel. From the outside it looks like an old, come down and abandoned house and we couldn't imagine that someone would actually live there - in the last years. When we entered the hostel, we were overwhelmed by a smell that we usually know... More
