Easy to find thanks to the download available on the website, I strongly recommend that you use it. The house itself is stunning, we received a warm welcome when we walked in and were shown up to our room. Cocktails in the lounge before dinner with the open fire immediately made us feel a world away from the working week... More

Perfectly lovely hotel where nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very attentive but not over the top and the food was excellent. I felt very comfortable as a lone female traveller and would recommend/stay again. The only changes I'd suggest are a dressing table with good lighting and a plug socket plus instructions on how to use the... More

I stayed one night at Berwick Lodge with my family. We normally stay at the Premier Inn at Cribbs Causeway, but it was full up on this occasion so we had to seek an alternative. What we ended up with, despite obviously being more expensive, was a cut above. Berwick Lodge is a fine manor house topping a hill on... More

Old fashioned type of hotel probably not seen at its best given the time of year. Food very good but rooms not really laid out to best potential. off the beaten track so OK if you want a get away break but hotel located down a very long lane that you would not want to walk anywhere/ Room would have... As a business traveller, I get to stay in a lot of hotels and many of the 'chain' hotels become a bit faceless and impersonal over time. Berwick Lodge is a complete contrast - gorgeous, individually designed rooms with quality bedding and furnishings, elegant dining room and lounge, plus fantastic food and service. Slightly off the beaten track, it's a... More

Glad to hear you enjoy your time at Berwick Helen, thanks for reviewing. We have been having problems with Wifi which our internet provider assures us is being resolved so should be resolved imminently. So frustrating! Look forward to seeing you again. Sarah More

As a birthday surprise, my Husband and i stayed at Berwick Lodge overnight. The Lodge itself is tucked away down a somewhat bumpy lane but the imposing structure is an awesome sight on arrival. The entrance hall has an air of tranquility and luxury, leading onto an cosy lounge area with a roaring open log fire, an impressive large dining area... Thank you for review, I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay. You're right, when the very cold weather takes effect, like with all old buildings it can be difficult to keep certain rooms warm. Thankfully we have extra heaters for times like this and the bathroom floor has underfloor heating so luckily this keeps it nice and toasty. I hope to... More

We celebrated our special day at Berwick Lodge in December 2014. We chose BL because as soon as we walked into the reception we got a feeling about the place - the roaring fires, the wood panelling and the ornate furniture provide a cosy, intimate but sophisticated atmosphere. We had also heard the food was fantastic. This was particularly key... More

I wish we had been able to stay for longer! we had a lovely stress free check in by Rosie, we stayed in Kappadokia room/suite, it was enormous, beautifully furnished and a bathroom to die for, spotless and shiny. We had a chance to view a couple of other rooms of equally high standard, quirky and unusual but all very... More

We have our Regional meetings here about 5 times a year but this is the first time we've stayed overnight for our Xmas party. The rooms are pretty amazing and mine had a double staircase leading up to a giant sleigh bed. Food and service were good and staff helpful and courteous. Lovely in the summer I'm sure as the...
