On visiting my daughter in Somerset we went to Berwick Lodge for an over night stay. The hotel, accomodation, staff and food were outstanding. Log fires, Christmas carols playing.......it was all so relaxing. The suite was the very best I have ever stayed in and I have travelled extensively. I will definitely go back with my other daughters.

We stayed here one night in late October 2014 to celebrate our wedding anniversary and couldn't have picked a better hotel for the occasion. We were given a warm welcome at reception and shown to the beautifully decorated large bedroom. The facilities in the room were excellent and the size of the furniture and quality of furnishings gave a sense... More

Lovely room, a pleasant nights sleep. The hotel is a good 15-20 min drive from Bristol & the lane from the main road was a little scary in the dark! Whatever you do, avoid paying £15 (PER PERSON!!!) for breakfast. What a rip off. Breakfast should set you up for the day but this poor effort does nothing of the... More

Stayed here on 29 November for an overnighter to meet up with some friends from Devon and celebrate a birthday. Rooms large and impressive, good facilities, nice ambience and comfortable. There is some signs of wear and tear but only to be expected in a building of this age. For us that just adds to the character. A word of... More

Treated to a half board stay at this wonderful gem of a hotel. Outstanding 3 course meal which was of a better standard then meals I've had at restaurants with a Michelin star. Can not rate the staff enough. Always attentive without being at all intrusive. Breakfast was a delight as well. Room was very grand with a huge bed... More

Lost somewhere in the country (but closed to Bristol), beautiful house with amazing rooms and living room. Very good and genereous breakfast... but they forget to tell us the breakfasts will be charged in extras. But it worths it. I recommend but no wifi in our room !

Having had three fantastic meals at Berwick Lodge, we feel compelled to write a critique of our latest visit. After our previous faultless experiences, we came as a group of four on our recommendation for dinner as a Birthday treat. Overall the standard of the food seemed distinctly average, we each chose a variety of dishes from the a la... More

What a lovely experience we have just had at Berwick Lodge - for afternoon Tea!! Little known & off the beaten track - but such a lovely traditional, comfortable & warm venue is so hard to find. Stopped off for Afternoon Tea & was shown into delightful Parlour Area & served a delicious Traditional (3 Tier) Cream Tea with Finger... More

Booked a room for my wife and i to celebrate our anniversary. Were met with a very friendly welcome and then showed to our room "WOW". Had a lovely meal and our every need was catered for. Can't fault our experience in any way. Thank you berwick for making our anniversary a memorable one.

After searching for and rejecting many hotels in and around bristol I was pleased to find berwick lodge. Plus they had a room for a solo traveller which is a rare find indeed. The price was very reasonable and included breakfast and wifi. The location is great for the M4 and M5, train station and Cribbs causeway shopping. The room... More
