If its 6 Nations, Sunday lunch, catch up with friends or a social event, this exquisite country pub drenched in local history works for me every time. What ever I want I get at the Angel. If I want some quiet time, or meet up with friends to laugh and chat. It always seems to work. The staff are friendly... More

We wanted a local pub/restaurant that was close to home but served quality food. We walked into the main bar area and found a bustling atmosphere. Ordered drinks and were shown to a sitting area with a cosy log burner in the centre of the room. How pleasant the room was. Not to many pub like knick knots. Just right... More

Have used this pub a lot and staff always welcoming especially Becky. Range of standard real ales and interesting ciders. Good wine selection at reasonable prices. Food is well done pub grub with a surprise , fresh mussells. It is a local pub not far from Bristol and is perfect at what it does. It is not a restaurant or... More

We stayed here in October 2014, and it was everything we needed - the beds were comfortable, it had space to park out the front & round the sides, it was a really charming place, and it was cheap! It is outside the city centre and you will have to drive there but if that isn't a problem. The bathrooms... More

Stayed at the Angel Inn on 15/16 November as we were at a family christening in Long Ashton, the church behind the Inn. Miserable staff, room was nice. Had a gathering of family for a meal - no effort with the food - we could not choose from evening menu and the tables were not put together so we all... More

I booked this smaill pub/ hotel as it was a real ale pub with rooms, didnt expect luxury, but did expect my own toilet and bathroom!! When I arrived I was shown a basic room and told there was a shared toilet and bathroom down the corridor. The idea of having to share a shower and toilet with two scotsmen... More

I've stayed here a few times now. The inn has terrific beer and great food. The rooms are clean and have complimentary bottled water which is great, The drawback is the showers. They have a very poor flow and are electric ones. For some reason, they seem to run out of hot water after about 2 minutes and then go... More

We really like to come have beers and enjoy their food. The menu and the special vary over time. We always liked what is served. Really nice venue. Friendly staff and good food. A little post explains the ales are stored in the former jail...

Old English pub with plenty of original features. Worth stopping for a meal, if just passing, camping nearby or attending any event at Ashton Court. (short walk from Church Lodge Entrance in Ashton Court Road). Friendly bar staff. Outside courtyard. Delicious food and if served with a salad, you wonโ€™t find soggy lettuce here; itโ€™s crisp and fresh plus a... More

We visited The Angel Inn on an early Saturday evening. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Becky couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious and homemade and served really quickly. The pub itself was lively and had a really pleasant feel. Will definitely make a return visit when over in Bristol again.
