As far as accommodation went, the Fox and Goose certainly didn't disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised that my 'single' room turned out to be a characterful double with a vaulted ceiling and a chimney breast decorated with two charming carved crouching lions. In contrast with some of the reviews here, I found the en-suite to be pristine with a powerful... More

Arriving at 1pm for our table, which had been booked a couple of weeks earlier, we were sent round to our table after getting drinks from the bar and handing over our credit card "as security". Our order was taken at 1.15 by the proprietor although she had to go to the kitchen to find out what the vegetarian dish... More

Been staying here every year for 5 years. Same couple running it, but accommodation just gets worse. Won't be staying again. Bathroom filthy with mould in shower. Window blind might as well not be there. Lets in outside light which is on all night. All doors really creaky - a squirt of WD40 would cure in seconds. Lights not working... More

Stayed here on 28th Feb. before heading to airport for a very early flight. Cannot fault the service or the room which was warm and comfortable with a powerful shower. Food in the pub was great value and excellent quality, served quickly and nice size portions. Our room rate included parking for the week and they organised a taxi transfer... More

When I saw the reviews on here I wondered what I was getting into! I had to go outside again to reach the room I was allocated but no great distance just over a bit of decking and down a few steps, fine for anyone who is able bodied, not so perhaps for anybody with mobility problems. I was greeted... More

We chose this Inn near the airport as we could park our car whilst abroad. We started with a very nice meal. We were however given a twin room in an outside annexe which measured approximately 9ft 6 by 7ft 6 with not even room for a chair; it was barely large enoughfor a single room. There was the smallest wardrobe... We had to cross the decking area and absail down the steep stairs with narrow... More

Had an awful meal here. A kid screaming from the bar full of locals, a dog lounging on the sofa, frozen chips that had been deep fried and streaming with grease. Pastry on a pie that tasted like my kids had made it. A chicken, leek and bacon pie, with erm, no leek and no bacon!! A lasagne that was... More

We stayed in a family room the night before an early flight from the nearby airport, which turned out to be 2 interconnecting rooms -an added bonus! Beds were comfortable & room was clean. Bathroom would benefit from updating but was adequate. The room was situated beside the main road which did cause a major noise problem with single glazed... More
