Brilliant location, cheap and cheerful. Myself and a mate booked a twin room with shared bathroom but we got ourselves an upgrade to a bigger 4 bed enquire room so we had a bunk each. One downside being the rooms were too warm, we both woke up 6 am with a sickly feeling from the heat. Communal kitchen is top... More

This was the second time I'd visited here, this time with my husband for a birthday treat away. We chose to come here as it is very central to Bristol and within walking distance of the places we wished to visit. We ended up in the same private ensuite that I had stayed with my friend last summer (a double... More

The Good: - My private twin room was fairly quiet. Mattress was a bit firm but decent. - Sink in room - Location is great! Cool view out the tiny window. - Nice small lounge and a second floor lounge/games room - I didn't user the kitchen/eating area but it seemed okay. The Bad: - Turns out my room is... More

I had to accompany a group of Explorer Scouts and having used YHA before thought this was a safe and comfortable place to house them. However, some rooms had lights not working, one of the rooms had someone else's gear left in it, our room had a very dodgy smoke alarm 'hanging' from the ceiling and a shower light that... More

Location was great but our twin bed private bunk room was very small. Hostel was tired, in need of a paint & didn't feel very clean. Had the breakfast one morning - turned up @ 9am. Hot food not appetising, dried out and over cooked - appeared to have been sitting there too long. Cutlery dirty & trays which clean... More

Booked a room with 4 friends, £19 each for a Thursday night. Bunk beds were actually comfy and room spacious enough. We were right opposite the shower and toilet which was handy. Shower is a push button one & not very hot but fine for a quick wash. Great location.

We were informed by email just before we left "Between 26th October and 14th December we are having some improvements made to our café bar and reception area. During these works the main entrance will be out of action and access will be via Prince Street." What this actually means is it is a building site with cafe or bars,... More

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We are very sorry that your stay didn't live up to your expectations. We are working as quickly as we can to refurbish the car and bar, however our neighbours are also building new flats and it was noise from their site which caused you so much disruption. As soon as I reached I folded my hand and asked them"Please say you have one bed" and they had it.:-) - I stayed for two nights(weekend) in March'2015. - Neat and clean hostel. - Tidy bed and bathrooms. - Perfect...
