Stayed there for the weekend on a reunion with mates in Bristol, the hostel facilities and rooms are perfectly acceptable for the price and the pub downstairs and courtyard was awesome - tasty pizza and a cool atmosphere....we later wandered into the surrounding stokescroft area which was awesome for going out

The website advertised that their private twin room was en suite. This was not the case. When I queried this with the reception staff she simply said I was wrong. The staff were rude/patronising and had no clue of what was going on in the city when asked. The TV in the room had no aerial and our curtain was... More

I lost in the city a bit too late to catch the bus to London. With only few bucks in the wallet, this seemed to be the right option. The inn is fine from outside, but the rooms are a bit shabby and too noisy to have a proper sleep. If only the price is cheaper though, this one is... More

To make it brief: the staff were rude and incompetent. The manager was incompetent and unscrupulous. The hostel was filthy, dilapidated, and massively overpriced. Although my first impression was that it was expensive for what it was (no hot water in showers, a door that doesn't lock, filthy kitchen...) I decided it would do for a weekend away with friends.... When we arrived at the hotel I knew that it was a special place that would have everything on offer to satisfy the needs of 15 professional, middle aged men. We were greeted by a delightful young chap at reception who took time out of his busy day to ensure we had all of the relevant house keeping and health... More

The group of us that stayed were part of a rather large hen do (around 35 people) we were promised our own floor - firstly we did not get this. Secondly the young group of lads that were placed in between two of our rooms were incredibly distributive. They were banging on the door on the Saturday evening VERY loudly... More

A1 accommodation. Friendly staff, always willing to please. Eclectic music and communal generosity. Excellent value for money. Stayed for two nights but wished it could have been more. Already looking into next stay

I stayed here for 3 nights en arrival in Bristol before starting a new job - for anyone on a budget its great, the staff were friendly and I had no problems with the beds or facilities, the guest kitchen and common area were spacious and nice for cooking and chilling out. Also the hostel is above a bar and... More

I cannot understand how this place can charge £17 a night for an 8 bed dorm with mouldy walls and unfinished badly decorated rooms and hallways. genuinely shocking. our room door does not lock so anyone could come in when we are asleep. no lockers to fit a substantial amount of things. shower cubicles dont lock, cold rooms, smell of... Went there for a weekend stag do and we had a 10 and 6 bed dorm. They take a £20 pp damage deposit, towels are extra and they photocopy ID for each person (just so you know). Staff were helpful and the place looks like it is having some money spent on it. Clean and tidy, modern wash facilities. The... More
